Finally threw towel, ported out from Vivifi. Have a couple of instances where i get full network but extremely slow internet to the point where I can't even make paylah payment. And these are at outside shopping malls on a typical weekday evening (non-event etc). I don't believe its Singtel network issue or excessive usage (barely hit 10GB/mth), definitely feel more like deprioritised.
Who did you port out to? I believe the experience will more or less be the same with any other Singtel mvno.

At times like these, it may help to turn flight mode on then off.
Tried, doesn't help. 5g/4g same. I don't remember facing such issue on my first 3 months.
Well again, all these are base on encounters, nobody can prove on the deprioritisation of MVNO.

went back to TPG, network sometimes will feel a little slower but usually not down to 0. I don't work in city, so seldom take underground train. But last tried last year, quite a good amount of underground route is already under converge. At current moment, they are definitely the fastest improving provider relatively. But I do find battery drain slightly faster with TPG on my last phone.

Underground is fully covered already, you won’t have problems if you live in an mrt station.

using volte drains battery slightly more... that's for sure .. and TPG uses VOLTE for making phone calls

I don't really do much call, the drain seems to be mainly on the standby with most of the time 4/5 bars of 5 in signal.. Isn't volte only active during call? It was instant improvement the moment sim card was swapped.

The worse battery life you’re seeing likely has nothing to do with VoLTE.

Rather it’s because Simba’s signal strength tends to be weaker on average, as compared to SH and ST. So even on standby your phone has to use more energy to maintain a connection to the nearest base station.

then is maybe related.. poor signal strength also poor volte draws more battery :)

Funny, I’m opposite from your case. I ported in to VIVIFI from Starhub carrier specifically to get better connectivity at a VFM price since VIVIFI rides on Singtel’s network. Been around 6 months so far and I must say the experience has been really great

This is the worst possible decision you can make for the reasons you mentioned to port out. TPG aka SIMBA has the worst connectivity out of all Telcos in SG

Is true. Sometimes Simba can intermediately disconnect for no reason. If use as a backup plan or buy for the roaming data can but I won’t really use it as main line for now.

Yes, TPG might have the worse coverage, but my previous experience with them about 1 yr ago was definitely constant improving, at least for most of the place i went to, there is decent connectivity. What Vivifi throws me off completely is the "deprioritisation" to the extend of 0 data throughput. Imaging doing a paynow transaction and you are stuck there 2-3minutes for the data while the queue form behind you. I don mind slow, issue is it went complete no data.

In fact i don't remember having such issue with Zero1 which is also under Singtel infrastructure, at least on a very short duration with them.

It’s the M1 plague spreading to Singtel and StarHub MVNOs. There’s no escape where you run.
