Yes, you can login and manually pay. Tried that once then i just left it recur on its own after that
Wow. I did not know can manually pay.

Will try next time. Sometimes prefer to pay from another card instead of the card I set up for recurring.

Once you have received the SMS notification saying your bill is ready, you can just login and pay manually.

https://help.vivifi.me/hc/en-us/art...yment-using-PayNow-or-saved-credit-debit-card

Seems that it either takes PAYNOW or your registered CC/DC in your profile. So, in this case you will have to change card frequently
Thanks !

I always assume the bill comes when payment is charged to my set credit card. You are right. Went to check last month. SMS from Vivifi received on 18 Jan 5.20pm. SMS from credit card received on 25 Jan 2.29pm.

Hmm. If have to change card than maybe I won't bother unless it is permanent change. But good info as sometimes I wonder whether I can change card in time for payment.

i see... device issue then ..
Not true. Only this app otp. Others are
Could just be the SMS gateway is not responding or vivifi side is not accepting it.
If possible, it would be better to switch to app-based OTP.

I also face OTP issue but mainly for overseas services
What's app based otp? It can only be sms or email. Obviously this app using different otp or sms gateway or mechanism

There are TOTP and HOTP mechanisms that do not rely on SMS gateways.

The most primitive form of "app-based" OTP, a form of low level HOTP, is the banking token that many are familiar with. Press a button, generate a sequential random number.

I use them if I have no choice. My first choice remains FIDO2/WebAuthn tokens like the Yubikey.

But whatever it is, this is something that we as the app user has no control of right? Mine is tick which otp option I want, there are 2 for my group insurance app. I tick sms and click next to get the sms otp.

So in my case, how do I get the above app based not relying on sms gateway to get the otp then?

Yes, you are right.
My initial thinking was that that they could be settings that you might have missed hence my previous comments, but it seems your insurer does not provide that.

At this point, you can only depend on email then. Probably you want to give feedback to them?

As not to derail this topic away from Vivifi, did the SMS OTP worked before you came over to VIVIFI? If so, maybe can talk to VIVIFI as well. Doesn't hurt to ask about this issue since it really affects your overall experience
