Lodged a case with IMDA, let's see how long they will take to investigate and whether Vivifi will finally reply me.

Vivifi refunded the $7+ immediately after IMDA case lodged. Well done. For those who facing the same, just contact IMDA and whack them gaogao. Hope they get a big fine for this.
Did vivifi also explain what the 7 SGD charge was for?

imda work similar to case
all issue let the provider settle
just an oversight

mno dont care about imda, just like company dont care about case

mvno maybe will work for small issue
complex issue, even imda cant fix it

could it be possible that the charge was due to the date u actually ported out? becos i remembered if one ported out before certain date, there will still be a new bill charge.

Is this Vivifi tnc? I don't remember reading this anywhere, if that's the case they would have billed me the full month of $11.50, plus I requested to port out 10 days before last day of the month, Vivifi screwed up my port out and only managed to port out on last day of the month.

They only tell me refund done, without giving explanation on the $7+ deducted. So I dont think your hypothesis makes sense.

i dun think my explanation makes no sense... becos port out needs time, and when u are really ported out will decide if u are still being charged for a new bill for next month...

i had used vivifi before and i ported out and ported in to vivifi before..
no matter which MVNO i am in for the current telco, i always ported out 1 week in advance minimally to ensure that the port out is completed before the next bill charged.

Whileu u mentioned that u ported out on last day only, there could be the case u are charged with additional bill.

i had ported out from vivifi before, i never kena extra bill.

they refunded u purely due to the case u logged with IMDA i guess.. normally they would rather refund u instead of dealing with u for the case given the time and effort spent. but it does not necessary meant that ur refund is valid.

Please note that no refund will be made for the subscription fee charged for that month, i.e. if you are porting out of VIVIFI on 8 May 2023, you will still be charged the full subscription fee from 1 to 31 May 2023.

Do ensure that you have cleared all outstanding bill before Port out.

No pro-rated refund for Port-out/Termination​

There is no pro-rated refund of the monthly recurring charge and entitlement during the month of termination/ port out for the number that is terminated/ ported out.

Bro, your reply is exactly the reason why I said your hypothesis makes no sense. Vivifi bills from 1st to last day of the month. I initiate port out 10 days before last day of the month, Vivifi screwed up and only ported successfully last day of the month aka 31st August before 12am aka Vivifi signal no more. So why do I need to pay an extra month?

This is port out, not termination. The TNC above is exactly why Vivifi shouldnt charge me anything. If they want to charge me for porting out late they should have charged $11.50 instead of a weird number. I suggest you give your replies some thought before replying in future, cause it makes you look bad my friend.

And just FYI, I moved from Singtel to Starhub to M1 to GOMO to Vivifi etc, so porting is not new to me. Vivifi charging me a weird amount 2 months after I port out is the weird occurence.

Not an oversight, they ignored me for 3 weeks until I lodged IMDA complaint then suddenly they replied. Don't think it's a coincidence?

only manage them like an oversight with no action even if its lemon product

i didnt reply on behalf of vivifi

No explanation given, I suspect is either they are trying to run some scam ponzi scheme or their database is just bad- port out already still wanna collect money from non-user.
Looks like vivifi has gone downhill. Probably too much people leaving?
When i was ported out in May, no such issue. Was only charged for the month of May since i left on the 2X of May

If the company can't even give a proper reason
1) what is the charges for?
2) Why the charge was 7 and not 11.50 like what @eddy0505 mentioned
then i would side with the user base.

If the company as you suggested, refunded the money cause IMDA got involved, dosent that make it look worst?

If vivifi bothered to give explaination, then maybe @eddy0505 and various other users won't be here making noise recently (if you look at the few pages back and which i also suggested it could be the billing date and it turned out to be wrong, vivifi just screw up badly)

Circle life has port out issue
Vivifi has port out billing issue

Now waiting for see who is next, probably soon only those MVNO that has Red Green Orange as the parent company will survive.

I just ported out from circles.life to Vivifi, no issue...

anyone facing issue of indoors 4G speed on Vivifi to be unusable sometimes? Full bars but nothing can be loaded proper, already ensured apn settings are correct.
Xiaomi 14T with Vivifi eSIM.

don't recall my experience with Zym, another SingTel MVNO to have such slow speeds.

I had similar experience with Vivifi 4G as well as GOMO 5G, ported out both since. You can try porting back to Zym but doubt it's gonna be different.

Have issue with them too :frown:
emailed to downgrade plan and got automatic reply reference number but no action taken no human reply ... still continue to bill me at the same plan higher pricing for second month
