any vivifi user can confirm are you on NSA or SA now? And are you on paid 5G plan or free 5G trial?

I am on 5G trial. Still NSA even till today.

BTW, what is the phone you are using?

Now I have seen three reports of compatibility issues with Singtel 5G+ SIM (physical SIM or eSIM) with Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and S25 Ultra -- cannot activate 5G SA.

One reference from Galaxy S25 thread.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...25-edge-fe-ultra-accessories.7002801/page-435

Anyone using S25 Ultra with Singtel 5G+ plan? Do you have the option to select Standalone Network?

I am on the latest Feb 2026 Samsung firmware and I do not have the Standalone option despite having a 5G+ plan. I know it's not the Telco issue because when I insert the SIM card into an iphone, I could select the SA option.

Mine is showing NR NSA in the SIM card status.

At first I doubted Singtel but later others from the Singtel thread advised me to switch SIM card, and that's how I learnt it's my phone's problem. 😭

I wonder what could be wrong with my phone and whether the next firmware update will resolve it. It sucks to pay but not able to enjoy the benefits.

Besides going to the Samsung service centre, is there anywhere else (e.g. website) I could get Samsung's assistance?

So I went to Samsung Service Centre at Jem and they were not able to help too. The staff didn't appear to fully understand SA vs NSA. They did, however, installed my SIM on their personal S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra but both are showing NSA still.

Even the staff's 5G+ plan is showing NSA on his own S25 Ultra also.

I requested them to install my SIM on an S26 Ultra to try but they didn't have any on hand, except the demo sets which they claimed it won't work.

In the end, they advised me to call Samsung hotline.🤦

My phone has dual slots but I only use one (Slot 1).

Not so sure about other VIVIFI users but one of my colleagues did not have issues.

We were having lunch together on Monday 16 March 2026.

One colleague using Singtel mobile plan with 24 month device contract -- affected for about one hour+.
My Singtel S$15.28 SIM Only line -- affected for about one hour+.
My Zym S$10.1 line -- not affected
Another Singtel Gomo user -- affected for a short while (less than 10 minutes)
One VIVIFI user -- not affected

I was at home on wifi that day. When my sister message that her Singtel is down and she had to switch to company wifi, I turn on Vivifi data and it was ok.

Was wondering if Vivifi not affected or maybe my sister sent out the message late.

Just sharing, current phone is Samsung S24 Ultra.

I was on Singtel's Enhanced M plan (physical SIM) and ported out to Vivifi Roam Asia Super 5G+ (physical SIM) in early March 2026.

The SIM card status is showing NR SA for both Singtel and Vivifi on my phone.

I was not affected by the recent Singtel outage.

now in April, I'm still on 5G NSA. So it's not switched off

Same for my Singtel S$15.28 line and Zym S$10.1 plan with free 5G trial. Both can still work withboth 5G NSA network and 5G SA network. So Singtel cannot meet the 31-March-2026 target again. But anyway I do not think the date is a hard target, more like a soft target.

On the other hand, my Starhub Prepaid S 5G plan cannot access 5G NSA network today. Another user also reported that his CL 5G line cannot access 5G NSA network today. So looks like Starhub and M1 have shut down 5G NSA network.

Today is April 1 and 5G NSA network is still alive. I checked my Zym line and SingTel S$15.28 line (by disable SA mode of my Poco X7 Pro phone).

On the other hand, checked my StarHub Prepaid S 5G plan on another Poco X7 Pro phone, I cannot get 5G NSA, it is either 5G SA or 4G LTE.

Same for me.
Northern area.
My Zym old 10.10 plan, still have 5g NSA..
Circles with 5g add on is either 5g SA or 4g LTE.
Maybe Singtel and it's MVNOs haven't fully deployed yet.

5g NSA still on for zero1

ohhh.
Does that mean will fall back to 4G in MRT stations and tunnels?
Don't think they have SA coverage there

Depends on which MRT line. I remember good 5G SA connections on the Circle Line. But yes EWL and NSL CBD areas can be challenging for all providers.

Without 5G NSA, it will fall back to 4G. Let's wait for the reports from Starhub/M1 network users.

New 15GB/30GB world wide roaming data, in line with Zero1/Zym offering (not so sure about CMLink which has not updated its website).

this is incredible. Imagine using free roaming in Europe or Africa. Even buying eSIM there is not cheap, like at least SGD 10 for 10GB.

But considering roaming latency, will not be a very good experience

It’s interesting to see how the telco market is shifting. Vivifi used to really stand out by targeting family plans, but now they’ve pivoted to offering standard products that are very similar to ZYM and CMLink. At the same time, CMLink’s main selling point should be their China roaming, but even that is losing its edge since Singtel’s hi! prepaid and postpaid plans are now almost comparable. Very similar products.

We don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. Given the similarities, i do suspect that Singtel may have a say in influencing their product lineup hence the similarities.
