No, overseas calls or sms receiving on Vivifi DOES NOT work. In June, I wrote in to customer service, says I will have to turn out globe roaming at $0, which has been switched on. And I clarified if it's a one time 'switch on', Vivifi said yes.Does vivifi Plus plan support roaming calls/SMS, whereby I don't subscribe any roaming package but still able to receive/make calls while overseas?
i dont have such issue only been to thailand 2 weeks ago and vivifi is roaming .... in JB when i was using binge plan i am able to surf free 1gb data too ..No, overseas calls or sms receiving on Vivifi DOES NOT work. In June, I wrote in to customer service, says I will have to turn out globe roaming at $0, which has been switched on. And I clarified if it's a one time 'switch on', Vivifi said yes.
Three occasions after this clarification, vivifi has no network overseas. I'm now waiting to switch to Giga when they have promotion.
Go gomo la. SingTelNo, overseas calls or sms receiving on Vivifi DOES NOT work. In June, I wrote in to customer service, says I will have to turn out globe roaming at $0, which has been switched on. And I clarified if it's a one time 'switch on', Vivifi said yes.

Gomo’s parent company owns the network, Vivifi merely bulk purchasing. Unlikely SingTel will open up their 5G for MVNOs to eat into their big 5G profit margins anytime soon.Gomo got 5G, ViFiFi will also get anytime soon? Anyone has any info!
My folks had that same observation for Singtel's SIM only some weeks back for about 3 months, which was why we decided to port out. We got really used to the high speeds and fairly good response times during the pandemic when crowds were much thinner.Feels that Vivifi is slower nowadays, maybe too many people in the network cause of their good deals
Data connection keeps dropping here and there despite using ST's infrastructure
I wonder..if those connected to 5G (assuming you can get a consistent signal) would be able to surf smoothly since the there would likely have lots of 5G capitulation headroom at this point in time.My folks had that same observation for Singtel's SIM only some weeks back for about 3 months, which was why we decided to port out. To be fair, I realised belatedly that we had gotten used to Covid-style crowds, so the load on the towers wasn't quite as severe. But the last 6 months the crowds have resumed and so towers are more congested - adding to our sense of slowness.
In times like this, if the telcos have implemented QCI (many signs point to this being the case in order to match quality of network with subscription amounts to justify cost), then lower priority networks (usually MVNOs) will experience even more throttling as a form of service differentiation. Surely it's not fair to higher paying customers to have the same priority as those paying much less.
Giga have no roaming service though, meaning no network overseas unless you buy their roaming bundle. No, overseas calls or sms receiving on Vivifi DOES NOT work. Hmm. I think as of current status, it should be an excellent experience since there aren't that many users. Those early trial users of TPG will remember this: once more users come on board, the network performance starts to degrade pretty quickly. When in crowded zones, the network can become unbearable if the cell towers become overloaded.I wonder..if those connected to 5G (assuming you can get a consistent signal) would be able to surf smoothly since the there would likely have lots of 5G capitulation headroom at this point in time.
(To clarify, I’m referring to gomo and giga 5G, since those are supposedly lower priority as compared to SingTel/SH)
By then switch to another telco? Actually do u really need 5g?Hmm. I think as of current status, it should be an excellent experience since there aren't that many users. In fact, I have a hunch the Gomo users are given this cheap rate to form part of the load testers for Singtel's network. Pay only $5, that's quite negligible. Costs may increase in future once the testing has stabilised and network is proven.
you already know the answer .. are you willing to pay the extra $ to try new technology / speed? if not then pay what you are comfy with ..By then switch to another telco? Actually do u really need 5g?
yes it is for those who is not "needing" more like prefer to pay abit more to explore the technology of speed .. like wifi router AC or wifi 6 router? it is up to individuals .. mainly ..I am on Vivifi with the 1GB roaming for MY/IN/TH at $18/50GB local data.
probably will stay put at Vivifi coz really no point for me to change to another plan for 5G which is not the main needs at the moment.
It's nice to have high speeds. Whether your actual use transforms significantly depends on the user.yes it is for those who is not "needing" more like prefer to pay abit more to explore the technology of speed .. like wifi router AC or wifi 6 router? it is up to individuals .. mainly ..
That one is the old school news where 3 telcos try to play punk. Now every telco give you 50gb for $20. Later will be blood bath. If they don’t offer competitive price, then I stay 4g and don’t move to 5g. Lol! I don’t do augmented/ virtual reality/ metaverse. You need so fast? It's nice to have high speeds. For many, it's mainly a placebo, for a few it's fed by impatience. Nothing wrong there since there's a choice.
I have friends who held on to their 3G lines for the longest time because of their 12GB data bundle (vs having to drop to 1-3GB if they signed contracts), but the speed difference for normal usage is quite drastically different. For LTE-A to 5G, I think it's much more negligible for me.
Yes, it is able to get OTP overseas. You do not need to purchase a roaming pack to receive OTP.Hi. Can I ask those on vivifi can get otp overseas? Need to on roaming to do that?
