I don't travel on CCL at all. I usually travel only on EW line between my home and office.

But ok at least this storyline is different from angang everywhere.

I praised SIMBA for its overall package and value which is true in that respect but after 3 full weeks of massive usage then I knew the slow speed can be very frustrating.

Therefore, I went back to the book, restudied and compared between SMBA and VIVIFI packages again and made this decision that higher speed is more important based on my regular usages!

For data roaming. There are many options out there!

Interesting... TBC, I'm not doubting you, just that it's such a different experience to mine. I am able to stream Disney+ (or Netflix) at max resolution in an iPad on SIMBA, without buffering or jittering or loading issues during peak hours along the EW line. Have even done it a couple of times with my kid who is on Insta/TT/Discord & god knows what other social media platform (somehow, all at the same time) on his phone tethered to the same SIMBA line. No problems or complaints about loading.

Just find it interesting that your experience is so different to mine.

Honestly, I would have suggested VIVIFI Plus 20GB + SIMBA 100GB (TPG 50GB).

Having the eggs separated into multiple baskets is better than one large one.

You already see how disruptive one network outage can be just last month.
It even lead to Mr angang mia for so long.

Also, now that it's clear that SingTel is actively pushing everyone to 5G, and deprioritiation on LTE is more and more obvious, having alternate path to the destination when one is congested isn't a bad idea.

But hey, $16 vs $21, the decision is yours. Just hope you won't feel disturbed.

actually i dont have issues too using it during my travel is EW line too and town area.. i guess singtel network have blind spots at CCL.. and shouldnt be vivifi specific

For roaming, Giga generally has the most roaming partners @ their $5/GB tier.

Yes! Including the option of using travel sim besides purchasing an adhoc data roaming addon with VIVIFI as and when we travel.

Anyway, 90+% of time I'm in Singapore. Travelling is on and off not counting short Malaysia trips including JB in which I have an onexox sim for that.

So, my latest decision made is based on that 90+% of a fast, realible local connection for local usage lah! That, is the most important consideration at the moment!

Anyway, my only travelling plan is to Taiwan during the month of December 2022.

i think those heya / z1 jumbo plan does not have auto roam features they are purely local use... vivifi plans include roam features like sms / IDD

YA! Auto Roaming inclusive is very important nowadays as we are using mobile apps / authetications for almost everything under the skirt!

Prefer to cut auto roam away to save even more money if possible, imo don’t need them for cheap plans.

Would be nice to have more competition in that area (for those only using in SG). Guess sinkie got money to travel but still use cheap mobile plans.
