Just to check if I port my number to vivifi, does the porting process start at the night of the day I activated the vivifi SIM card?

Mobile Number Porting usually takes place between 11pm to 4am, on a working day. But do take note of the following scenarios.

- If your SIM is already activated and porting request is submitted before 6.30pm on a working day, porting will take place on that day between 11pm to 4am.

- If your SIM is already activated and porting request is submitted after 6.30pm, porting will take place between 11pm to 4am on the next working day.

- If you have submitted the porting request but your SIM is not yet activated, porting will not take place. If you then activate your SIM before 6.30pm on a working day, porting will take place on that day between 11pm to 4am. If you activate your SIM after 6.30pm, porting will take place between 11pm to 4am on the next working day.

What does the porting request refer to? If I opted for number porting during the sign up, does that refer to the porting request?

So I have decided to terminate my Vivifi number because, well, I don't need the data anymore. Under their T&C at their website, there's a sentence saying that if the number that I have with Vivifi was issued by them (in my case, yes), they will recover that number for SGD 50. Can someone explain in simple language what that means??

Thanks!
