nice! i didn't really get the outrage too. it is true that the X200 series' flare seems a lot more pronounced compared to other phones in comparison, but the way a lot of ppl started flaming reviewers for not mentioning it in their review because they're being paid or whatnot, is overblown. i guess ppl just want to dunk on more popular reviewers just to get some sense of superiority? not to say this type of feedback isn't useful, cause it is more obvious on the x200 for some reason, and hopefully vivo can learn and improve from this. and perhaps reviewers can be more thorough in the future. but the way i see some ppl on bilibili comment is just bit too much liao. lol.![]()
just bought for my bro another black x200 pro 16+512 for $790 after trade in iqoo z9 turbo and membership points claim.
black is seriously sleek. Slightly lighter and thinner. Sides are brushed metal.
on the lens flare issue, it's just over blown. I experienced this 2 days back on a sunny day at Jiu Zhai Gou. All I can say is ok la. Just change angle or use your hand to block a bit of sunlight.
i've tested many phones over the past years and this type of flare shows up on many many phones. it's just how light hit the lens at an angle that causes it. so if kena that kinda of lighting, like you mentioned, just change angle, or try to cover a bit. also, using a case that has individual camera cutouts and is thick enough could help too like the mediastorm video mentioned.
taken on vivo x60 pro years ago. bottom right corner also got the flare.
even if i were the one testing the phone i probably wouldn't even think much of it, or think about whether it's more obvious or less obvious than other phones. to me as long as there is some flare, the photo won't turn out good already, and it wouldn't matter if it's a lot or a little. I'll just retake the photo.
