lol at least you can transfer
but think i might found the solution to my problem :
will try it with my xiaomi spare
for point 4, occassionally, the company apps will disappear after updating, have to manually pull back, but its worth the trouble for such a phone.
glad you're on board man.... have fun
seems like it is due to CN ROM , that whatsapp failed to copy...
xiaomi 14 U , successfully done the transfer
following this :
for those from iphone 14/ 15/ 16 pro /max
your whatsapp can be transferred without issue, to a international rom [ no CN rom ] ** at least for me this will sure work.
in steps
1) your iphone 13/14/ 15/16 / pro / Max is updated,
latest, beta or developer wont matter
2) [ usng a non china rom android only ] vivo x200 pro or in my case, its a Xiaomi 14 Ultra, international
3) Reset the Xiaomi 14ultra
3b ) Assuming your iphone is well into 20gb worth of history, just get 100gb google drive, its well worth to backup into the GDrive later on, and transfer over to x200U or other china ROM later on.
!!! **** DO NOT remove your simcard from iphone, just leave it .... until your android international set has downloaded the whatsapp, and you have gotten the whatscode from iOS phone ***!!!
4) Roughly 5 min 24 sec into the video, the example [ transfer done ] , is where you unplug the cable between the 2 devices [ iphone and android ]
5) just follow through, and aloow the importing chat history to go through
the entire video just works, but the biggest clue is that CN rom some how did not work
- transferring whatsapp -
- needs to be fresh android device, International rom for now -
- ensure both devices, are 100 % charged.
- iphone --> temporary android device thats international. For my case its 14ultra from xiaomi
- Buy and get the google drive 100gb, back up the whatsapp data after transfer
- continue to do Android to Android transfer from xiaomi to my x200 Ultra.
and a clean up version of the above, if this gets to reddit or other forums, to help others.
Here's a cleaned-up version of your instructions for transferring WhatsApp data from an iPhone to an Android device, focusing on clarity and conciseness:
Transferring WhatsApp from iPhone to Android (International ROM)
This guide describes how to transfer your WhatsApp data from an iPhone to an Android phone with an international ROM (non-Chinese ROM). It was tested successfully with an iPhone and a Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Requirements:
- Updated iPhone: Ensure your iPhone 13/14/15/16 Pro/Max is updated to the latest iOS version. Beta or developer versions should also work.
- Android Phone (International ROM): You'll need an Android phone with a non-Chinese ROM. The instructions mention a Vivo X200 Pro or a Xiaomi 14 Ultra (international version) as examples.
- Reset Android Phone: Reset the Android phone to its factory settings before starting the transfer.
- Google Drive (Optional): If your WhatsApp history is larger than a few gigabytes, consider purchasing 100GB of Google Drive storage to back up your data. This can be useful for transferring to another Android device later.
- Charged Devices: Ensure both your iPhone and Android device are fully charged.
- Keep SIM in iPhone: Do not remove your SIM card from your iPhone until the Android phone has downloaded WhatsApp and you've received the WhatsApp code on your iPhone.
Steps:
- Start the Transfer: Follow the instructions in the video you linked (around the 5 minute 24 second mark) for connecting your iPhone and Android device. The video demonstrates the process of transferring data between the two devices.
- Unplug: At the point shown in the video, you'll unplug the cable connecting the iPhone and Android.
- Complete Transfer: Allow the process of importing your chat history to finish.
Important Notes:
- International ROM Required: This method appears to work specifically with Android devices that have an international ROM (not a Chinese ROM).
- Fresh Android Device: The Android device should ideally be freshly reset.
- Android to Android Transfer: After transferring to the international ROM Android device, you can back up the WhatsApp data to Google Drive and then transfer it to another Android device, even one with a Chinese ROM, if needed.
I hope this is clearer. Is there anything else I can help you with?
