Just trying to calculate my shipping costs to see if I can stay under S$400. I know the shipping costs are added to the value of the items, but what about any repack fee? Is that treated as part of the shipping cost or is it disregarded when it comes to the <S$400 GST threshold?

Paid USD17.00 for a box with a volumetric weight of 1.3 kg. they rounded it up to 1.5. The actual weight of my product is only 0.5 kg. no repackaging was offered. The Cso was, however , a great help to me. Com gateway is so much cheaper than vpost! There was even a rebate of 10 dollars for DBS/POSB cardholders. OMG this is so kind of them! Thank you Comgateway! Vpost service is good too. So far so good with both companies. Thumbs up, vpost and Comgateway!

Seem like there are many ways for me to ship from US. I am planning to buy 2 backpacks from eBags.com. May I know which service should I use? After reading through so many pages, I am still at a lost which one will give me the lowest cost. Hope someone can help me out here. Thanks! :)

All of them have such service? I can't find any at vpost. I bought a bag recently using vpost. only 1.2kg but they charge me based on 5kg because the box used to pack the bag was big. What I saved in the end ended up as shipping cost. Might as well buy in SG. :(

Thanks for all the advise given. Seem like it is quite expensive to ship bags unless we are doing mass ordering. Remember seeing someone doing it at Mass order page. Might join their mass order...

Hi

How long does vpost respond to repacking service? And only way is to call them right? Apparently there are some miscommunication with the china merchant. 3KG But send in big package! volumetric weight is 12KG. and its 100pcs of plastic envelope. Shouldnt refuse to reduce for me I guess. Anyone? Not sure if its raise up before. Apologise in advanced

I recommend Cgw. Fast and efficient, using DHL too. Took about a week to reach me. Considering i used 2 days shipping on amazon and express shipping on Cgw. :)

i jus got a small messenger bag on ebag.

now its at the us address from borderlinx.

shipping charges : about 22 sgd

i would have preferred to get through hwz mass order forum (cos there's one that offers some discount off the price + their own handling fee = evens out).. but my bag was on limited time offer so i decided to get it myself to see if cheaper or not...

At Uclick2buy.com details of each order or item packaging is provided to shipper when e order arrives at our warehouse, repacking can be slected if you feel that initial oversized packaging by merchant is unnecessary. Freight charges is also shown to you before shipping, no hidden cost.:)

Do feel free to contact us if you may have any further enquires.

can I buy from lego.com and shipped to your US address?

hi,

your "Personal Shopper" rate is 20% fee. that means the discount i saved from buying the item all gone to you.

borderlinx's concierge service is free.
vpost concierge service is 5% fee.

I think so that they appear to be a private buyer.

Most well known 3rd party forwarder's addresses are being blocked by US merchants like lego.com, US toys R US.
