Wallmounting LCD TV queries

hi, i just purchase a Samsung series 4 LCD TV LA32B450C4M,

i want to wall mount it but i am afraid of overheating, does wall mounting have space for air ventilation? as i don't usually on my room's air conditioning, most of the time i have my fan on and its quite near my window that's all, will overheating occur? if let's say i use it like 2 - 3 hours a day.

after wall mounting, does the back have spacing for my cables like VGA and HDMI?

am i able to get HDTV ch 5 if i use it on a SCV cable antenna?

hope you guys could help me out here.
thanks in advance

I would say depends on what wallmount to use... if u use extendable wallmount, there will be quite alot of space.. if u use the normal only titling wall mount, i would say the space is quite limited ad sometimes difficult to plug in the cables...

The wall mount bracket is designed with clearance for ventilation, at least 10cm. So no worries.

Btw hot air rises, so most important is the top not blocked. With the sides unblocked, it will introduce cooler air, as well. Having fan on and near window, 2-3 hrs daily, u will be fine.

Imagine those people who fit their TV into a nice cut-out shape of the TV, a feature wall. It is a like in a suana. The TV components will be under stress test daily, eventually give way.

Yr VGA plug might be under stress if yr wall mount kit is those cannot tilt type (this is what LG give, Pana gives tilting type).

I am not sure if I should wallmount it, still trying to redesign my room, so maybe I will leave it on a stand. Thanks for the answer!

are you wall mounting?

you can judge is by sitting on your sofa and your eyes should be at the centre of the TV

i got it from court, wall mount by samsung(told by court. the height of the tv is 610mm. if i base on centre of the tv 1.5m , thus the height of the (1500mm - (610mm/2)= 1195mm. tv bottom edge to the floor. oppps seemvery high le.

Hello guys

i just want to inform you to take note of what the installation guy is doing during wall mounting of your LCD. Last week when I am re-cabling my Samsung 40inch LCD TV bought from Audio House Suntec Show exhibition, the whole LCD TV come down on me. To my surprise the screws that mount to the wall is not parts from the wall mount package. Rather the 2 screws are filmsy aluminim screws. I have to re-drill the holes bigger to mount the correct hard screws from the wall mount bracket.

Aluminium screws? That sounds scary, usually it is steel.

If u buying panasonic, one need not worry. Panasonic staff install them using mounting kit with big screws alright. LG is small screws but some 6 to 8 (still dont feel safe though).

Does it include the wall mount kit? If not, U definitely sounds like been conned.

I bought panasonic C10, it is free. If 120, then the TV becomes 669 - 120 = 549.

mounting cost more when u ala cart. bundle aka set lunch will be cheaper. sure no brackets. I doubt aluminum screw, maybe galvanized. usually is ppl over tighten that lead to falling tv.

The easiest way is to ask your dealer.

yup, its comes with wall mount for the plasma TV. However at that time, i did not choose to wall mount.

Now, i am paying $120 for the wall drilling and reading thru this forum, i understand that $120 is the standard rate i am happy.
