yup, thk god, my ports are all facing downwards & sidwards, so no issue..Was planning to visit my metalworkman to fab the above bar, until i check out my home hw shop, hoping for an hevy duty eye- hook bracket. Boy, was I lucky..this is what I found..

Bought a pair, a pair of splitter bolts. Spend today drilling 2 holes on wall, fastening the brackets.

ignore the other 2 holes above, mistakeably too big.
Shocker: My drill went through next door neighbour's room, wtf, the separating wall only 2 inches wide, hollow block somemore...that's another issue)

Sawned off the protruding bolt thread, hang TV on the 2 eye hooks, with 2 x M6 bolts on back of TV...Yes, only 2, and Tada..!!

Closer Look (top down overall, side-bottom-up, top down-single):-

Unfortunately the bracket's profile is a little weird, with a little notch, otherwise would hv been closer. However the lower back half of TV is fatter by 12mm than the top-half, so it is quite ok. The lower half is pressing against wall. (speakers side, woofer back against wall , not bothered)
Now it's back to sorting cables..

Achievement: 12mm spacing, $5 TV-mounting, and 2 extra holes to putty off + 1 neighbour's hole. Darn happy!

unless you have all the screws and washers and correct drills and love to DIY but maybe might destroy your wall..

hence best bet is an installation guy...i got my dad's friend to assist with a minor price and looks great..

didnt use the screws provided by the bracket as it was too long for the walls in my room.some walls might be hollow...just a precaution.

My interest is not the DIY or low cost it is minimising the gap from the wall, as discussed 5-6 posts above.
In fact I hv 3 mounts at home, all no use & selling, all 4-5 inches from wall, just to fat & ugly.

Think most of the outlets from HN, BD, Courts do sell those wall mounting brackets from Sanus.

Can buy from homefix and some NTUC (for example the one in Nex). Both Sanus and Vuepoint.

Ideas in Wall Mounting TV to Bedroom Wall

Guys I need help. I want to wall mount my TV to my bedroom wall. I need ideas. If you have wall mount your TV maybe you can post your photos here.

Things to consider:
1. I want to put my Apple TV and Xbox. Hence, they must be mounted and not placed on the floor.

2. I would like to hide my wires as much as possible.

3. TV is in directly in front of my bed. The wall is about 1.5 m from the foot of my bed. Hence can recommand me an ideal TV size? 27, 32 or 40 Inch?

I don't quite agree on mounting the tv 70-90cm above ground.. really depends how high is your sofa. My lcd is just about 40cm above ground. Alot more comfortable for the eyes to look downwards than upwards the screen.

just my 2cents :)
