I have the same kind of wall, and I bought such a mounting on Lazada... make sure it can withstand the weight.
I screwed it onto my concrete wall with about 10 screws.. no issue with taking the weight of my 50kg TV.
You can see pics in my signature.

Thanks for the advice. Will research abit further to find the right mount. I want to get the Tv positioned as middle of the wall as possible.

And thanks mod for merging the threads. Appreciate the effort to keep things organized here.

Hi, can check with you guys
If I have a NB articulating swivel TV bracket for 55" Samsung TV
And I wish to mount on my feature wall but there is no stud at the centre.
Can I mount directly on the 2cm thick wood and what type of screw and plug I shld choose?

Total depth is 11cm with 2cm feature wall wood and 9cm hollow.

Use wood screws to directly mount the bracket to the wall.

If your wood is indeed 2 cm and thick, there's plenty of bite for the wood screw threads to sit in. Use M8 pan head wood screws. Do not use the countersunk wood screws.

Use 8 - 10 wood screws and it will be very secure. If the wood is plywood you have a stable platform. If your wood is hollow then this attachment method is not safe.

You don't use a wall plug for wood.

Wondering if my bracket still compatible when I get a new tv. Just disposed of my old plasma tv. Thinking of getting 42/43 inch. Same size as my old tv.

Should be able to use same wall mounting bracket. With same size, new TV will be very much lighter. eg. a 43" X8000H is less than 10kg

May I know if

1. mounting of 55 inches TV on 1cm plywood featured wall can last 10 years? Won't the wood cracks after few years & TV will tilt downwards or fall??

2. My TV bracket can pull in & out turn right & left, I am worried all these movements will cause damage to the TV panel wood

3. How come most contractors won't cut a rectangle shape on the featured wall then I can mount the TV brackets on the actual wall?

Hi all,

Any recommendations for TV Bracket Mounting Services?

I am moving house, and the movers will only take down the current bracket for moving. They will not be mounting it at the new place. Need some recommendations for a reliable service provider to mount the brackets for me at my new place.

Please help. Thank you.

3. My contractor cut the indentation for mounting. Then Gain City peeps mounted the bracket on the feature wall anyway. KNS....

Calling and chasing them for the last 2 days to get them to rectify their mistake.

Work bro... Blame work.

I did ask them to take a picture, but it wasn't obvious when you were busy at work. It was only later that I realised the crap they pulled.

Anyway, went down to bang tables today and finally got them to agree to take a look and reinstall this weekend.

Super silly things they pull to defend themselves... What is the square indentation for? To put my goldfish ah!? Of course for the mounting of brackets lah... Like, KNN... You the professional or I am the professional? KNS.

Looks fine, when you buy your TV, you can choose from their selection too.
I would upsize a little so I can assure myself if I get a better TV I don't need to uninstall it.

Hi all, need some advice for wall mounting my TV. My TV (75" LG OLED) is currently not wall mounted, but I am moving to a new place later this year and I plan to wall mount it.

Any recommendation on which brand of mount to buy? And recommendation for installers?
