My ultra battery lasted me from Friday evening to Sunday evening with 10% left, wore to sleep for both nights. Left it on my series 3 charger to charge overnight on Sunday night. Today 05:30 wear back, until now 20:00, left 72%. AOD always on, with wayfinder face and 8 complications running. Brightness is highest. Don’t seem very good? 🤔

I’m planning for white ocean for weekend walk around and normal sport loop for everyday wear.

Originally think orange alpine for weekend wear but wife doesn’t like orange and yellow haha.

Btw just tried in store. Be careful when take off watch with the alpine, the hook may hit the screen or top edge. Look like I don’t like either alpine or ocean dor daily wear. But no trail loop to try.

Yes the alpine loop have the sport loop feel, but no velcro. It’s more like a premium sport loop.
I think he meant trail loop. Btw the reason I am not confident with alpine loop is that I struggled to put it on and take it off haha. Maybe I’m clumsy.

Just rewatched the awu intro video from Apple. Actually most watch nowadays that come with titanium and sapphire material will cost $1k at least regardless of functionality. So maybe the price is quite decent. Is it because SGD is still strong?

Alpine loop needs a bit of getting used to. Adjusting the loop to your wrist size is by means of the ridges in which it’ll be held by the lug, then hooking it by the G clip.

I chose Alpine over waiting for the Trial because I feel the former will be more secure for the AWU. I read the description that the Trial is easy to remove and my first instinct is that it'd be easier to lose my watch as well.

I also initially thought that the Trial looks like those nylon velcro straps out there, except for that little tab at the end. Have to see the actual thing later...

Yup, the Alpine just need getting used to, then it'll be a bliss to put on and remove. I wonder though, when will the ridges give way from all the insertions and removals. It being fabric, will definitely get wet from perspiration or water so got to remove more often...

Don't say "price is quite decent" for Apple products, otherwise next year's may shoot way higher. 🤣

Provided they really use sapphire this time round... If they use the iphone camera lens "sapphire" it is still prone to scratches though

So based on this teardown, the antenna bands that scratches easily are for gps and not for cellular... Hmm
