I gotta say the XM4 has overall better SQ vs APP1/APP2. But it just doesn't fit my ears. I tried the XM4 with multiple sized spinfit eartips in ConnectIT. It just feels heavy & gonna drop anytime if i start running (It's just me).

But I am a big fan of their WH-1000X series headphone s tho.

I own a Wh xm4 headphones but seldom use it and dun really like it, plus the ear pad smells and feel sticky when u sweat. With APM, i can just wash the foam ear pads easily and smells great again.

My brother using APP gen 1 even though he using android phone and my wife last time use airpods 2 ( spoilt) and i pass her my jabra 65T ( company gift) to her recently haha.

Is really tempting to hoot but my APP gen 1 still usable and also just replaced the earbuds a few months ago from Apple.

My gen 1 is still completely usable too, but I upgraded anyway.

Sony's protein leather pads are meant to give you a better seal for ANC.

But I gotta agree that they get sticky when you sweat. But they can be cleaned easily, just use some wipes haha. Whereas fabric/suede pads cannot really wash haha! I recently tried to wash my Sennheiser HD600 suede pads & the water was black when I rinse it with soap, end up I just threw it out & ordered aftermarket one from Shopee

Same bro! My APP1 also has 3 years old charging case, but pods replaced by QCD last Oct 2021 due to static sound issue.

Sold it off when I placed order for APP2. 10/10 worth it no regrets!

I'm not a headphones person though. I agree the WF-1000XM4 is overall better SQ, but 360 reality audio isn't comparable to spatial audio. Listening on Tidal Hifi+ on my WF-1000XM$ with LDAC on, on my Flip3 is dope, and that's the only reason why I subscribed to Tidal.

Ya the 360 reality audio needs compatible media streaming app, i now using apple music as it sounds better for airpods and APM. I tested with sony headphones the sound stage lose to APM

My first gen APP isn't so new, bought another set when MagSafe feature was out and earbuds replaced once due to the static issues also. Prior to that, the charging case was since launch day and earbuds replaced 3 times, that set has since been sold off.

Never used Tidal before tho. Was once old school & use audiophile DAP's & cabled iems. Had to manually download & transfer songs. After that hopped to spotify for a few years & unsubscribed. Now using YouTube Music & QQMusic

Yes everything is usable like my APP 1, Watch Series 7 SS and iPhone 13 Pro Max. But I upgraded everything last month. Still eating grass right now
