We do not need non moderators acting like Mods

Dear Admin, you already have mods, you already have this forum for users to report issues to the admin and mods.

In a nutshell this forum is for users to contact the Mods and Admins. We want to hear from you, not other users.

But this 1 user reddevil0728 has made his mission in life to bait and offer needless views to requests for explanation by users who have been infarcted.

The occasional 1 or 2 comments we can accept as point of views, but to do it with stunning regularity which only infuriates and exacerbates the issue is clearly something that you have either have missed or refused to take action on.

I think it's high time you take the appropriate action.

The level of moderation is extremely poor at times.
What seems so obvious is missed, what is not needed is acted upon.
Take 1 example I reported a user who opened a thread threatening his enemy with violence if ever stepped in JB. Mod's reply - I'll let the thread continue so he can get his comeuppance.

Then you have Mods giving points to people posting whom did you vote for, or the person tio covid was replied if no reply will send condolence note.
These were deemed insensitive but the former was a-okay?

Do mods actually believe EDMW is REAL LIFE? Do they understand what is a death threat and a death wish?
Moreover these are all monikers, not referring to real person. Is being insensitive to a moniker the same as being insensitive to a real person. I can come tomorrow and claim I have cancer, AIDS, Covid, piles and what not? Is this verifiable? If someone says Kumar you surely die liao, I must take offence?

This an online forum using all sorts of monikers, fake names and clones. The number of crazily ridiculous CSB stories out there. Are we supposed to take every single one as REAL LIFE occurrences?

Tolonglah Mods and Admin....

I am pretty minded to write to Mr Khaw one of these days on the level of administration and moderation, if these rather abject trends continue unabated.

As I said before, it's about the right time now after what is it 4-5 years, to have a new slate of Mods.
Because what we are seeing are some Mods, for so long being Mods, they also want to post and have their positions, pov etc like any user. But because as Mods now, they find it difficult to accept the opposite view . A lot of petty reporting for the silliest or tiniest of misconduct. So basically the Mods will side with the reporter if his report matches their own views.
Without considering the larger picture, just based on the number of reports by people easily stung when their posts are rubbished, mocked or ridiculed. Which are perfectly normal things in any forum.

And fail to realise that whilst you can sue someone for slander/libel etc, it's not possible to sue a moniker, where no names or possibility of being identified are made.

Just chill lah. If you want to take umbrage, everything can be umbrage. I was totally puzzled by the umbrage taken when some call clubs Manure or Loserpool... This is infarction worthy? Are we kids now, running to teacher, teacher teacher, they called me names. You think Liverpool FC or Man Utd football clubs actually are bothered by such references? It's like a given, it's called banter, something so common in the UK between rival fans.

But if you want to be petty, you can easily take umbrage for such a silly thing. And the non explanation given by the Mod, that was another classic own goal

The biggest problem is the ones who gave the points in the first place are the ones who are addressing the feedback. Obviously the one who gave the points is never going to say that he is wrong. No matter what it is they are right and you are wrong. Then they just lock the thread immediately.

But you can see nowdays dragon is reversing quite a number of these points. Which means that the mods are wrong in their assesment many times. But sadly to get your points removed, you need to go through so many hoops it's not even worth the trouble. For every 1 that got reversed, there's probably 9 that didn't get reversed cause its just too tedious to make your case.
