jywy2005 said both not working lei

It depends on the city..
I reported last month that Chongqing metro do not accept foreign base cards link to wechat or alipay (mastercard or visa)..
I saw someone here mentioned Guizhou also cannot use in the previous page.

As always, better to bring some spare cash.. Can buy ticket with cash over the counter.

If the city isn't linked to Alipay QR for foreigners yet, can still buy from their ticket machine using AP/WC QR code. No need cash.

Yes, this happened to me in Guiyang. If all else fails, buy their local transport/metro cards.

Ask the shop to charge your phone?

I'm more concerned there is no signal. Happened a few times when I lost signal when I was there

Anyways keep some cash. Don't have to be big amount. Unless it's your only trip to China can always keep for future trips.

Phone die as in no charge left or can't work? Contingency look for atm to get cash.

I doubt the Dragon Boat Festival will affect travel very much, other than the nominal long weekend this year.
In Singapore, when your mobile dies, what do you do?

In Sg, mobile dies still borrow $ from friends/colleagues or go mall reception area call home for help
if overseas alone, phone spoil is really helpless
think 1 suggestion above is to go atm, use credit card in bigger restaurants, buy phone and restore ur profile

If it worries you so much, bring a spare phone.
