I am gonna get a new iMac soon. Wondering if I should just use the magic trackpad instead and a Logitech Mouse. Magic mouse is good for scrolling around but for ergonomics it's frankly one of the worst. Feels heavy and does not fit the hand well.

i actually love magic mouse and it responsiveness to OSX, but reliability is really bad. Spoiled within a year.

U might have a faulty set or 'misused' it over time. Mine was bought since the same day as i bought my MBP in early May 2010 and still works perfectly!

get the trackpad seriously. And get a good mouse instead. This way you can use your own ergonomics mouse but still enjoy the gestures offered by OS X.

my trackpad arrived today. Suddenly I felt my iMac works better with gesture.

I just bought the Logitech M555b mouse a few days ago and i am liking how it works for the past few days i am using it.

If anyone wants a bluetooth mouse for Mac, this is a good mouse to buy for.

I use the trackpad on the left and Logitech M950 on the right. Best combination. Trackpad not as accurate so use mostly for gestures.

I've been using the Logitech Performance M950 for the past month or so now.
Ergonomics wise, it is great for a right hander. With customised buttons via SteerMouse. As I came from a Mighty Mouse, great mouse, stupid trackball. I needed the shortcuts I could get with the MM (Expose functions).

Also, I needed the sidescroll capability.

Looking at retail stores in Singapore, I found it overpriced. So I looked online and found cheap ones on eBay. Granted they MAY not be brand new, the mouse still works great and I got mine for less than half the price here. I'm a heavy user, and mine lasts on average for about a week. I use Sanyo's eneloop and rotate between 2 batteries. Great buy. YMMV.

I initially started looking at the Magic Mouse, tested them in Apple resellers around Singapore, I didn't like the low profile and it just didn't seem right for me.

I use a MacBook Pro and getting an external trackpad is out of the question.

Hope you'd find the right mouse for yourself.
