What PC speakers are u using?

got 1 Creative 5.1 SBS speaker system that i have been using as a 2.1 since 2002. still going strong.

Recently got a pair of Creative T40 Series II 2.0
Not bad but i am missing the subwoofer.

Not worth the repair cost you can get a new speaker instead.

Currently i don't have the funds to upgrade my speakers haha, but i feel the bose companion 5 is already quite good, if i can get it fix at, say $150, would it still be worth? Might upgrade to some bookshelf speakers in the future

Nothing comes close at this price, not sure why everyone sleeping on it

add in a cheap dac/preamp like the ifi uno or the various toppings d10/e10, and download EAPO, for corrections on bass peaks/dips, and you have a really formidable 2.0 system for computer at less than 500

Rather buy a new speaker instead like Logitech Z407 around $150.
Cuz even if you repair, TBH it won't last.
You buy new one at least got 1 year warranty.

Err... I think you try the Logitech Z407 for yourself.
The BC5 I did heard before doesn't like the sound in particular the "Surround effect."

The new Swan OS-10 it's a downgrade
Would rate it 1.5/5 If you like muddled bose, you would like this... minus the good bass.

On rate of 100 in 'live' sounding assuming an Audioengine would be 95 the Swan Os-10 would be only 6

Even my 10+ YRS OLD Creative t20 still sound way better

its pretty good, but also need some sort of dampening stand imo.
I initially have the sub but then removed from the system cause its really difficult to control in a small room.
If i see movies then i put the sub back on.

Its pretty decent for the money(if i have the budget i'll go for Genelec though).
I'll say these type of studio monitors are an acquired taste, not many ppl will like it. But once you get used to it, normal speakers will not produce a "good enough" performance.
