Android pay is working fine. Bootloader unlocked using magdisk.

Are you trying to use misuite for other purposes than update rom? Read that misuite cannot use with mi5 too and the latest version was before mi 6 launched.

However the rom update function recognised my phone.

i'm trying to change my rom to the official rom.

I used fastboot with mi xiaomiflasher older version cos the newer version doesn't recognize my mi6 and there's some issue with the mi6 rom very confusing.

Oh yes don't know if my bootloader is locked or unlocked 1 more problem for me that i don't need.

Used this program called iossync since mi suite cannot recognize my mi6. What a damn joke! It seems that it didn't back up my mi6 totally some files seem to be missing. whatsapp started up as totally new even though i backed up everything luckily i had google drive.

Here's the diff between android and iphone cos i own an iphone SE.

itunes backs up everything updates the ios to the latest and restores everything back as it was. You see everything on your iphone as totally the same.

Android backs up but after restoring it seems like the files are everywhere and the phone isn't actually restored as it was and i hear that only titanium is able to do that and you need to root the phone. Imagine that rooting the phone just to restore it back to exactly how you like it.

Thank god i have google drive and mi account so i could restore it back to a semibalance of what my phone was like before cos this isosynce just restores it everywhere. misuite doesn't work for my phone.

You will need to unlock bootloader to use miflash to flash another rom.
Since you are there, you can install twrp custom recovery. This recovery can do an image backup/restore (meaning once you backup, you can restore back to way it was when you backup, much more powerful then iOS). You can also choose to root or not with twrp. Install EU Rom since you hv twrp if available. Miui has it's own local backup that creates a folder in internal storage. It does a pretty good job and you can copy the folder to ur pc for safe keepong. There was also helium (backup for non root) but it doesn't seem to be updated anymore and doesn't work on miui from the last I tried on mi5s plus. Yea titanium is ur best bet on root phones becos you can choose what to backup and what to restore.

Btw, whatsapp/viber hv their own backup also. Beware of where they store their files in internal storage so if you choose to wipe the data/factory reset, bypass internal storage so the data/media doesn't gets wiped. You can also copy the folder to ur pc for safe guard in case you lost them

luckily whatsapp backs up to Google sync. This stupid iossync backed it up then restored it only call logs and sms logs seems to be fine even some of my recorded calls seem to be missing. What's worse is that when restoring the apps it prompted me for permission to install every single app and there's no allow all apps to be installed option. All restored apps started off as new. Wechat and lines chats missing. Luckily hardly use them.

After all the bs about getting permissions and all that nonsense it says binding time between phone and account too short less than 72 hours and mind you i have the phone for about 1 week and it was logged into the mi account just that i didn't bind it in the options whatever that means so i have to wait 3 days?

Can those on Global or EU ROM confirm if the widgets issue still occurs? i.e. widgets disappear after reboot.

Since you are on Xiaomi, use their backup (you can find in setting and ut allows u to choose local or to cloud), it can backup/restore call,sms,apps (with data but some apps like whatsapp, viber can't be backup like that but most apps work). You select which you want to backup/restore and it's pretty good.

I think there are ways around that using old version app.. you need to search on internet for that info. I think meanwhile, use Xiaomi built in backup first
