Anyone tailored in JB before? Quality ok?

you have to consider if it's cost-effective to go for fittings. I don't think the quality is as high as Singapore tailors, and the production period is longer than BKK or Vietnam tailors. i definitely did not see the fitter cut or have the clothes produced on-site at the store. Shirt-wise, the price quoted was around SGD80-100 per shirt.

Any reasonable place to make good quality shirts? Now like all increasing price. Haha! What about Korea? Will they make solid solid one like Korean?

Generally, if the salaries of other occupations are increasing, it is understandable that tailors also increase prices. It is a natural phenomenon because their work is labour-intensive. The Qn is, did your salary increase?

Quality tailoring is the same as fine dining, staying at luxury hotels, and driving luxury cars..these are rarer, higher-quality products that the mass affluent and above people enjoy because they are more fussy, have higher expectations for clothes since they attend important events and meetings. . 衣食住行. They are not meant to be cheap and available for the less affluent. Mass-produced Retail-to-wear caters for that. Technically, a quality tailor is a craftsman, professional consultant and artisan, and so deserves a respectable income if their knowledge and skills level match.

Is there a way to tailor those light weight polyester jacket like Uniqlo? It looks quite formal if you put it over a tshirt but it is so light. Anyone knows whether the tailor can do this?

Anyone knows any tailors that make sweater or cardigan or knitwear vest from lambswool and cashmere? I have a few lambswool and cashmere blend fabrics that I think are so loosely weave, they can be made only into knitwear and need such a tailor.

Back to my Qn on which tailor charges gst. I wonder with Gst increase next year, would tailors increase their prices again?

Went to Mohan custom tailor for 3 piece suit (merino wool) and spent $1000 after bargain ( was quoted $850, suddenly bumped up to $1080 after gst). Everyone have to learn their lesson right ?

Not all tailors charge gst, especially the newer ones. Unfortunately, the price listed on the website or quoted sometimes did not include the gst yet. If the suit is $1500, 9% is $135, not insignificant.

Lucky for me, the tailors I use did not cross the 1 million dollars sales turnover to register for gst

i am more curious whether fused or half-canvassed construction...i know most tailors already charge $600 and above for 2 piece suit half canvas construction with 1-2 fittings. 3 piece suit will probably need $700 for half-canvas construction.

Went to the Yeossal showroom a couple of weeks back, some of the partners got bought out but Akira (?) is still there. Apparently their pro-cutter is operating out of insta now.

Most likely MIC poly-wool, but with a name that sounds italian.

And my guess it will be a fused suit.
