Fair enough. What would be the best tailor in Singapore for an entry- level VBC daily use suit? It seems that marketing is a core expense for all tailors these days, and they are either looking for premium customers (for weddings perhaps) or budget customer (which I would stay away from since it’s most likely the same supply chain with different fabrics).

There is no 'best' tailor. There is only tailor who fits your budget, requirements for a suit and expected customer experience. The tailor who fits your budget, requirements for suit and expected customer experience will be your best tailor and so my best tailor will be different from your best tailor.

Side track a bit. I just saw this review and I would say the Milanese buttonholes, pick stitching, hand shanked horn buttons, surgeons cuffs, barchetta pocket, side adjusters ticked off almost all my requirements (I also want half lined, half or full canvas construction) for suit construction. If you guys look for such features, can seriously consider them. https://www.wahsoshiok.com/rajawongse-clothier-bangkok-review-promo-code-included/

I am expecting 2 suits to be shipped from HCMC this week. If I got time, maybe will post a review and some photos. However, may not post in this thread as this is for Singapore tailors and I don't want to damage their rice bowl.

Budget is around 1.4-1.7k. Anyone knows which tailors are good in this range who can do high-waisted trousers with relaxed for, perhaps women’s trousers as well?

Narrowed down my choices to Ron & Rich and Made Suits. Anyone has experiences with both and could compare - feels like at this point it’s just about vibes and the product is similar unless someone knows something about the production house or specialties? Made Suits promised 4-6 weeks which seems to be as fast as it goes in MTM with some level of detailed measurements.

Recently tailored 2 suits for myself in Vietnam and 2 suits for my son.

Of them, 1 suit for me and 1 suit for my son were made from the same fabric - Dormeuil Krono dark blue 100% wool.
Similar to https://dormeuil.com/products/ref-313051?variant=41255738114257

We wore them today.

My suit customisations:
Dormeuil Krono dark blue
Half canvas construction
Milanese buttonhole
Pick stitching
Half lining, world map navy viscose lining
4 buttons Surgeon cuffs
Barchatta pocket
Roped shoulders
Dark brown horn buttons
Side adjustors trousers
Half break trousers but worn full break to match my son.

Look ok to me except for the trouser break... Even with full break, once it crumples sideways, it looks super unkempt. I feel you need to fix that - way too long.

The trousers are half break, but I wore them lower to match my son because my son has full break trousers to accommodate his growth. Once my son grows a little, his full break will become half break and I will revert to half break too. At the moment, not averse to it as I can switch to half break easily by adjusting side adjusters to sit high waist rather than mid waist.

Just like to add that the roped shoulders wasn't my idea and I found out after I received the suit as it wasn't communicated. Turned out it was good because I do not have broad shoulders (45cm only) but the roped shoulders added a good 2 cm, so my shoulders look broader.

Experts, any recommendations for tailors (for shirts) who have a very big collection of WHITE fabric (various designs)? Previously made my shirts at The Suit Connection Dickson@Bras Brasah but few yrs back, have literally covered all their white fabrics XD. Yeah all my work shirts are white :p

Budget is less than $150nett per shirt :)

It's not all their white fabrics la, it's all their white fabrics under $150 a shirt, which means likely 120/2 and below only and Soktas and Asian brands only

Just visited Yong Seng - was quoted 120 (cotton-poly), 150 (cotton) and 160 (wrinkle-free) for a shirt. Have to top-up if you are bigger sized cos more fabric used.

It seems a bit pricey but I've not tailored any shirts in a while. Wonder how this fares to local tailoring outfits these days?
