Tried Personality previously. But wasnt really up to my expectations.

The shirt and pants both have many loose threads hanging ard. And i mean MANY.
It seems abit unprofessional imo that a tailor actually left them there...

The pants.... Maybe its partly my fault. I asked for a slim cut. It came out actually quite tight fitting. I even have troubles squatting in that pants!:s13: But this isnt really their fault lor.

Shirt... I asked for slim fit as well. But could be slimmer though. But maybe he is trying to be safe than sorry. So still ok. :)

I might look for the Dreamland, or Tessutti or Men Traditional.

Did you go back and ask them to remove the threads for you? How much did you paid for both the shirt and pants @ personality? How are their price range?

whenever i made a shirt at Tessuti, they would remove the loose threads for me after i've tried it on...

as for your shirt, u could bring back and ask them to amend it

btw the shop name is called Men's Tradition not Men Traditional
the shop is on the 3rd floor IIRC just beside the escalator. u should have seen it when u went to Personality... very messy shop

go back ask him just to remove the threads very troublesome leh.
Another thing abt the pants i tailor him them. The ends of the pants inside, it is not properly sew with sewing machine!!! The ends were poorly hand-sew only!
OMG!
That wasnt expected from a professional tailor...

Men's Traditional ok.:p
I am not too sure abt the exact shop coz I can only recall this particular shop right on the left side after the escalator, Personality and Tessutti.
Which is why I kept mentioning these 3 only.:D

So Among all 3 shops Tessuti would be a better choice?

It depends on wat u looking for i guess. After all now is going close to cny period they are more keen on getting sales closed for profit instead for quality.. :D

Back to the topic.. Tessuti Collar and Cuff are abit lousy.. got bubbles forming after several wash.. u can try lo.. if u don't believe... I went to ask them and they say its my washing methods. How can it be..

actually this is what many of the tailors do... hand sewing actually takes up more time and effort i think
why they don't machine sew is so that there won't be the threadline there
if u don't mind the threadline then tell them next time lor..

I know hand sewing more skill.
But u see, its soooo badly hand sew. The gaps are very big. So big that when i put my legs into the pants, my toes will sometimes get caught in those gaps, therefore pulling the gaps which will worsen the pant's conditions...

actually i have 3 different pants from 3 different tailors all like that leh
to be honest, i don't like the feeling either (scared 1 day in a hurry use too much force and the whole thing comes undone)
but i guess it may be a common trait and not due to bad worksmanship... maybe the next time i make a pair of pants i will ask the tailor and feedback

I just went to Joe's Tailoring during lunch today. i was told that their prices generally range between $130-$150 for Egyptian 2-ply.
did not bother to ask if they carry cheaper fabrics cos 130-150 is exactly the budget i was looking for
in the end, the fabric i chose cost me $130. the lady said usually that fabric is $150 but since it's my first time there, she would charge me $130. but of course..... i always take such comments with a pinch of salt.

Joe's closes pretty early 6pm(was told usually they're around till about 630pm though) probably cos they're smack in the middle of the CBD
btw i was told that the Fuji Xerox towers branch would be moving over to Golden shoe the end of the month... so they will only have 1 store once again.

oh really! icic...
So then its not that particular tailor's prob. Its a general practice then. A weird and not very gd one though...

I heard abt the Men's Traditional feedbacks too..

Anyway, i am still puzzled which one exactly is Men's Traditional.:p
Is it the right next to the escalator?

yep
small and messy place and usually has customers inside

ah..
I THINK i might know which one is it.

If its that one i have in mind, then its not that bad lah. At least personally i seen gd customer service from the boss or the tailor.

There was this gentleman in wheelchair. The tailor was very attentive towards this customer. Even recommend him to come at what timings and days so that he can move ard his store easily.

But messy like u mentioned...

ok lor, spent about 45 mins choosing and discussing and talking.

what else you wanna know?

How are the fabrics?? is it worth the $80..

if $80 for 2 ply cotton>> Personally i think it is abit steep.. i think $65 might be reasonable

Does he has alot of design??

What you think of his skills (when he is measuring)?
