How are the fabrics?? is it worth the $80..

if $80 for 2 ply cotton>> Personally i think it is abit steep.. i think $65 might be reasonable

Does he has alot of design??

What you think of his skills (when he is measuring)?
how many ply i dunno, you might want to email him.

at first i think its steep too. but when i think about the customisation and stuff, i think its sort of worth it.

materials are from italy, not china.

im suppose to meet my mum for dinner, i ended up late for about 30mins. as for the rest, you can make an arrangement with him :D

he carries some single some 2-ply
to be honest, i think $80 for his fabrics is ok... not steep
average price at other tailors should be between $100-$130 i guess
afterall, he saves money since he's a 1 man show and saves rental
however, when he takes the measurements seems a bit green(well, actually in fact he IS new to this)

agree.

Coz almost all shops in peninsula will charge $90-$100 for a 2-ply already.

U see nowadays even a piece of shirt in G2000 can easily cost u $80 already. And they arent custom tailored for u.

Slim down waist/arms.

I know, Im just looking for someone who knows what hes doing

wa...

don't dare to recommend anything to u leh... must be some DH blazer or something ><
but tailors in singapore mostly outsource their work... so the person who u speak to at the tailor shop may not have much control over the one who does the actual work

maybe u can try some of the higher class and so-called better and trendy tailors like Raffles tailor or Joe's tailoring

those alteration shops at queensway etc i think u should forget about them...

U mean at peninsula?

If so, actually one of the main concern why they dun bring in much trendy fabrics is coz its not "safe".

Imagine if that fabric is not IN in the 2nd half of the year or next yr. Then they eat air liaoz.:p

So most of the times they will bring in "safe" patterns.

I went to all the shops in peninsula with a pic of shirt from a magazine. I am not sure what brand also, coz it wasnt stated on the mag.
Its red and white stripes, quite chio. Asked ard. They all say the same thing.

"This kind of fabric not common wan. We dun bring in."

yup... some tailors will bring in more trendy/floral fabrics but usually such more trendy/floral fabrics are limited... like only 5-10% of their fabrics. the rest would be more safer patterns
afterall, most ppl who go to their shops are there to make business shirts

14.5 I also cant... :(
Have 14meh??? Never see before leh.

I asked at several G2000 stores before. Most of the sales tell me smallest 15. Only once in a blue moon someone will tell me 14.5.
Pants too. I need a 27, but G2000 smallest is 28... :(

So nowadays, I am depending heavily on Topman. Coz their shirts are quite slim fitting.:D
Will get their xs. Will like to get xxs actually, but they claim Topman doesnt have that. Which actually they have in UK instead...
