Any recommendations to tailored pants? budget $150.

Most places sell tailored pants between 100-150 for standard materials. I'm assuming you are asking for an office pants right? If so, I would suggest you go to those near your home or your office for convenience.

i like plain well fitting mtm shirts, without bright ostentatious trimmings. 2 ply 100% egyptian cotton shirts are a great deal at $50++ from those factories.

Wow where to get such price?

$50++ is very cheap. Heck, even $70 is cheap for 2 ply Egyptian.

We like the fit and quality..
Damage wise will be depending on the material tt u choose..
There are 3 for $100 material or $50-$60 per shirt..

Hopefully the tailor has a great workmanship and the material can last you at least 3 years is a good value buy! Cheers!

Praise Tailoring @ Bishan

Just some history on this retired tailor doing home-base appointment.

  1. Material are mostly the same you will find in shop like Far East Plaza, Raffles Place, Thomson Plaza, Penisular Plaza but workmanship quoting pricing is totally different because due to home base. Same material @ Penisular about $220+ for a pant, @ Praise is about $120+
  2. 30 years+ of experiences and currently retired and doing home base tailoring
  3. Felt that his tailoring is based on customer best interest instead of monetary profit interest.
  4. Personal tailor local celebrity of "Chen Jian Bin" and some uncle actor that I wasn't born in that era
  5. Multiple tailor contract for MNC, mainly American and Japanese MNC. Tailor for their whole company from below to top level
  6. Price differences of between 30% to 60% off local market prices which is a reasonable & affordable price
  7. Tailoring Master, one of his student is the master cutter/designer for Wing Tai Asia
  8. You may purchase you own material and tailor make for you
  9. Posting up this review because I'm a satisfied customer

Posting up the photo later!

I was at my regular tailor yesterday making shirts. He recommended a material to me to use as small details to addon for my white shirt. When I was interested to use the same material as base material for another shirt, he told me that material is not what I usually use. I was a bit surprised as the label on the material stated 100% sea island cotton!

His reply...the material is actually just normal single ply cotton. The label is just BS.

I sure hope the earlier bro's $50 2-ply cotton is not just by label only...

Bro, $50 for a tailor shirt is a good price as long as the shirt feels good on you. 2-ply Egyptian cotton normally cost $140 onwards at tailors. I am quite sure Grancity will be able to produce the same shirt cheaper, but I strongly doubt they can offer at less than 50%.

Btw...when I was chit-chatting with my tailor yesterday, he also mentioned that he had some new customers coming to his shop, asking for $50 2-ply egyptian cotton shirt.

As some experienced bro here had mentioned before. Don't trust the label on the cloth, unless it is from a reputated mill.

Hard to believe actually.

My tailor does it for $95 and it's 1 of the cheapest around.

In CBD area, it's at least $120 for the base cloth alone. :s7:
