If you think VQ is so good why it can not be the leader in the internet industry and why so many companies using major isp?

Ahh ahh.

Why this VQ user is so slow?

The internet truly does not forget… quoting a flawed Speedtest from someone that had their issue fixed already.

Especially from 2013 back when VQ had 150Mbps plans…

Just don't discredit yourself lah…

my 2cents

Among the traffic light ISPs, M1 is the better one. It has decent speeds to Twitch.TV and decent single threaded downloading speeds.
Like one of the bros mentioned, singtel has issues with twitch.tv. $99 500mbps can only stream at medium while my m1's $39 200mbps can stream at source? (screw off singtel)

However if pricing isnt an issue, VQ is still the best choice out there, everything just flies LOL (from the experience i tested at the SLS booth)

You need to do the ST fibre hawaii speedtest to qualify for your above comment :s13:
For the rest of us, popcorns will do

I am in Bangkok. Your test result only proof that ST has internet traffic management for p2p and restrict download to such sites. It does not meant it is slow. If it is slow every overseas sites you visit will be slow.

Even me in China then can go and VPN in and get a speedtest done bro....
Come on..go back to your ADSL....or U upgraded to PACE 5012 liao?

Why Singtel traffic management on http download on Leaseweb server? It is not even p2p to start off with.

Talk like VQ is like god then how come got problem? Some sites ST will route one big round instead of direct routing and this is the problem with ST. One year ago already complaint to ST and they said because they have their partnership overseas so can only use their partner.

VPN belong to company and I will not use for non business thing.
Not an excuse, google have a remote desktop application available eons ago.

And it doesn't require any complex setup, just install the bloody software and make sure you have chrome.

You just come off as a unreliable source, stop that deceit.

I let this thread go on further.. the TS still active in finding out which ISP is better for him.

As for the drift off the topic and the heated debate of which camp is better.. I keep the discussions on-going, as long as it is not too personal and follow the forum rules :D

Video streaming at least a mid end laptop or else the colour is not so detailed and not so sharp. Sound also not so good. Of course it is personal preference. I am saying best to have. Not must have.

Sorry that is utter and total rubbish. All you're doing is showing ignorance.

Just an update.
In the end I went for MyRepublic yesterday.

Reason :
This is due to pricing concern and addons from both VQ & MR.
Not considering singtel and starhub as got bad experience in past
M1 got 2 friend using and was told quite ok but no use M1 lines so no point.

By the way I heard from a friend's friend that as long the laptop support 1080p & have a I5 processor with 4G ram is more than enough for the TV.
Can anyone enlighten me on this ?

Any other usage on your laptop apart from online streaming and bittorent?

4GB RAM is pretty low, if you’re going to BT I highly recommend as much RAM as you can get (8GB min, 2x8GB if you can afford it).

It will allow high speed downloads in µTorrent to cache in memory. Thus you won’t see dramatic bottlenecking or system slowdowns when µTorrent has to write to disk frequently.

The other specs (as you can see from rebuttals to the bad advice) are more than enough for TV viewing on the laptop itself (or to 1080p HDTV). :)
