-The shiny plastic looks cheap but I don't think the whole built quality is that bad since it doesn't give in and "bend" when I tried to "twist" it
-The driver/software (Razor Synapse 2.0) sucks with too much constant updates.
-Initial frustration with hitting the macro keys instead of the shift and ctrl, which takes time to get use to

if you don't need lighting and those macro keys better to get something else.

Yes, those are exactly why my BW went into my wardrobe within a week. Cheap and badly cut plastic keycaps. Kept hitting the macro keys also, granted that wasn't exactly a QC problem. But do people actually get used to it and not hit those macro keys during regular usage? Just curious.

For me, I have no need for macro keys and I only bought the BW because it was the only readily available mech kb at that time. And I thought, hey, it's a Razer, how bad can it be? Guess I know now.

which brands use Cherry Blue switches (i want to avoid getting the Razers)?

Primary use is for work. Y'know, screenfuls of code and pages of proposals. Backlit will be nice but not that important. And also because the clicky sound is a nice way to drive my colleagues insane. ;)

*I'm looking for only Cherry Blue switches.

I have 2 Blackwidows with the macro key caps off. Got them because they are one of the cheapest and easiest to get.

Trust me, that's the first thing I did (removing the macro keycaps). Didn't help.

Back then when I got mine, yes, the BW were the easiest and cheapest to get, but now? I'll choose a Ducky any day. Back then I even went through the hassle of getting it through an MO. I simply couldn't live with the BW.

But glad it works for you, mech is mech, I guess. :)

The Cm storm Trigger

I have the cm storm trigger. It's very good. In cybermind, which is in Sim Lim Square on the 4th floor, it is 178 for the blue and brown keys but 198 for the red keys. While these are already below the prices in Challenger, the prices are further reduced by $10 if you like their facebook page. The staff there can help you find it as they are quite friendly. The keyboard has full red colour backlighting and it's very durable. A youtube video proves that but I do not know if it is genuine or not. The keyboard feels really solid and is really heavy so there's no chance of it sliding across the desk. It's pretty thick for a keyboard by the way. There are good anti-slip pads underneath the keyboard which really do not slip. There is also a detachable armrest which comes with it. It's pretty difficult to put on at first but don't be afraid to press down hard on it because it's stronger than it looks. I thought I would break the keys or the keyboard with the amount of force I had to use to put on the wrist rest so that's how much force is needed. To take it off just bend it downwards and it should come off. Overall the keyboard is really really really good and feels like it can last my entire life.

Using rosewill red switch for a year plus already. Loving it since day one. Once go mech, never go back.

I'm just wondering how do you add the like button on your post or is it already there?

I imported the Logitech G710+ in from amazon last week. Really sturdy design, Muted Brown Switches and full keys back lighting. But i guess the price isn't for everybody ;). Worth a look if you like macro keys.
