I'm using the CM Storm Quickfire Pro with Blue switches. It's a decent board, solidly built. Could consider it! I picked it up at SITEX for $138. Not sure what's the retail price now though..

Went through most of the more popular shops on 4, 5, 6 floor SLS, none got the brown switches.. Cybermind the guy says next Tues come, but I'm not too sure..

Any other reccommendations?

For ducky shine 2 u can try Xtreme Solutions, its somewhere around 2nd floor of Sim Lim Square.
Cos shine 3 is out now, shine 2 is selling at lower price.

There are other shops like PC Themes that carry Ducky kbs, but i don't think i saw any shine 2 when i dropped by today, can't be 100% sure tho :/

razer mechanical sucks. sold my previous widow away, too plasticky build, uneven key presses.

unicomp is awesome. very basic. no frills, no backlight, no macros. the typing feel is untouchable like the original ibm. can be a lil heavy-fingered for gaming though, those coming from membrane need some getting use to. thoroughly recommended.

just got the latest corsair k95. so far the most brilliant for gaming. using the sweet spot cherry red switches. the backlight & macros are unmatched. keys are mounted raised on flat alu platform, making cleaning a breeze. so much thought put into this baby.

Ducky Zero $119 with NKRO over USB.. Any downside compared to PS/2?

I thought I just continue from this thread instead of creating a new one.

Any recommendations for this 2014 year of mech kb?
I don't need back light or other fancy stuffs. I'm also particularly looking at basic gaming mech kb.

Several shops at Sim Lim Square carry Ducky Shine 3, even the main distributing shop is there, called Xtreme Solution (their fb page: https://www.facebook.com/DuckyKeyboardSingapore?fref=ts).
Also, there are re-sellers (that sell them cheaper actually) as well, such as PC themes, or Tec-drome, both of them are on the 5th floor i think.

At Sim Lim Square, either Xtreme Solutions (2nd floor), or Tec-Drome (5th floor).
Xtreme Solutions have quite a few different kinds of Ducky kbs out on display and plugged in, so u can try out the keys and see how the colour really looks like.

Tec-drome have an assortment of keyboards with different switches out of the box for you to test the keys, but aren't plugged in.
However, you can request them to open the box of a specific model you want and u can press the keys to test them out for yourself.
