just to share my experience..

at waterway point, whitestone dome,

1st piece.. completely can not detect or register fingerprint

2nd piece.. close to original film but have lift at the top after 2 days and they reapply for me but removed the film that came with the tempered glass. Result is not ideal and they changed another piece for me.

3rd piece.. this one has slightly more than 50% success rate and whitestone thru their FB agree to a refund but the glass cracked before I can find time to go down.

Decided to try Zeelot at casefactorie. Explained to them my frustrating experience with wsd and they are pretty confident about zealot.

1st piece.. close to 95% success rate but a little lift at left bottom. I informed them and without any hesitation , they offer to change a new piece for me.

2nd piece.. can not detect or register my fingerprints although one of their staff was able to register. They changed for me a 3rd piece.

3rd piece.. was able to detect right thumb. Able to register left thumb and 2 other fingers but cant detect when using. also if I rotate right thumb, the sensor cant detect. only able to detect at a certain direction.

4th piece.. Still unable to detect and they told me that they will change one last piece after which they will refund me.

5th piece.. about to give up as this piece was only able to register right thumb. Left the shop resigning to the fact that I prob have to use face unlock. However, by evening time I was able to register both thumbs and 2 fingers and by the next day, it was working as good as with the original film. just a light fast tap and it will unlock..no need to press or press harder or hold it there.

Conclusion..

I have more confident in Zeelot as compared to WSD although I think
Success is dependent on luck and that depends on how the glue flow or cure that even affects the direction of how the thumb is placed.
Also even when I have a near perfect tempered glass working, there are times when they don't work when the phone heats up.

Above are my observations and have no scientific proof. I hope retailers and suppliers can perfect their glass and glue or at least gives a warranty if they are selling at such a high price.

I am really happy with the support from both mobilestop( waterway point wsd) and casefactorie bugis village.

Sensitivity On and stock clear case .

All the best :)

Just installed zeelot from casefactorie

1st try: Did not re-register my thumb prints, worked on first tap but subsequent taps did not work

2nd try: Delete all thumb prints and re register, works about 5%

3rd try: Re register slightly moist thumb and it works 95% of the time, just a light tap will do!

Sensitivity on as well

Sent from Samsung SM-G975F using GAGT

How much pressure needed to unlock using fingerprint? Same as before with a light tap, or need to press into the screen a bit hard?

Further update. Last night I act smart delete the fingerprints although it was working. And re register need to press harder.. but not as hard as when I used whitestone.

Remembering whitestone worked better after 1 to 2 days..

So today I tried again. To re register..and it was much faster..and after register..finger print unlock is just a light touch

So many pieces changed for zeelot from casefactorie.. Are they free? Courtesy of the shop?

For me yes for both wsd and zeelot. But I am not sure how much goodwill they can give if everyone has issues.

They seem to be gathering feedback to the main supplier/manufacturer.

Also I was polite and not screaming or blaming them and they were professional enough to understand that they are selling something they claim can work with the finger print sensor.

I really appreciate all their goodwill.

For those interested, I reached out to Okonz and they got back to me. Below was their response when I asked if they have a physical shop I can go down to, to have it installed.

Hi we do pasting daily from 11-8pm.
We are not available between 5-6pm. We are at tampines st82 blk 854 near tampines hub.

They got back to me again. You can just buy the screen protector directly at their physical shop. They don't require you to purchase via Qoo10.

According to them, the glue used for zeelot does not allow them to recycle or reuse the glass while it can be used for wsd.

The glue on wsd after removal cannot be reused. Hence they included 2 bottles of the glue in each package.

Anyway, 3 weeks with S10, my thumb now can lightly touch for 1s and it opens to main page within 1-2s. But funny thing is that it works well when phone is in office or maybe indoor. When its outside or in mrt, its a bit more wonky. maybe due to different light sources. Hope firmware can sort this out.

Taken out my zeelot and top up for WSD
Works like a dream now....Extremely happy now
now wsd is better?

I went to get zeelot from casefactorie after hearing so many good reviews... But so far the fp reader is very moody. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it doesn't work at all and I cannot even re-register fp! Any idea if this will improve over time or I should just go back down to get a replacement?
