My zealot's getting more inaccurate, especially at night. My friend laughing at me, saying by the time you unlock, morning already.

Anyone know whether i can disable or increase the 5 time incorrect try then locked option? So at least i can keep trying.

My opinion is to refund the zeelot and top up to wsd...

Did your whitestone work perfectly all the time? I noticed the first day after install, it was a bit cranky. Which case are you using on it as well?

Anyway, my opinion about Zeelot and Whitestone so far:

Zeelot:

1. Glue on Zeelot seems weaker. Since whitestone comes with 2 glues, I wonder if one could buy a whitestone glue and use it on Zeelot. Will comment on fingerprint sensor sensitivity Vs whitestone when I have used the whitestone for few more days.

2. Glass on Zeelot seems more reflective. Harder to view under sunlight.

3. Zeelot covers the edges just nice and is compatible with most cases (think it's designed specifically to overcome this shortcoming from Whitestone)

4. Zeelot covers the front camera as added protection. During the few days I used the zeelot I didn't notice any detriment to image quality.

Whitestone:

1. Feels like a thicker glass than zeelot. So maybe some users might have issues with FPS? So far my success rate is slightly better than zeelot though.

2. Not compatible with my Spigen tough armor case which is a real pity. But I think it also depends on several factors such as variability of the cutting of the SP and the case. So far, I have tried these cases:

- defense shield - fits just nice but lifts at the side when you press the power button too hard

- uag monarch - fits perfect with sufficient clearance. But I don't really like the design and it's not compatible with PhoneLoops (will cause the lips to sag) and popsockets (due to uneven surface

- slim armor - seems slightly better than tough armor. A bit of a tight fit so power button will press against the sides.

- neo hybrid - surprisingly, seems to work fine with the whitestone. There's sufficient clearance at the sides. Thinking of getting this next

3. The whitestone is slightly too short at the top. Annoying thing is they have an extra cut out below the earpiece portion which is totally not necessary. Due to this cutout and due to the fact that it is too short at the top, there is a bit of a rainbow effect on white background when you look at the screen from the top

Zeelot confirmed thicker than WSD. I compare at the shop and it's indeed so. I'm surpise initially as my previous s9+ WSD is so much thicker.

Whitestone worked perfectly at shop and same day 100% hit
Subsequent 2 to 5 days went downhill to 10% thought I had a dud again and ready to RIP off and install film. Went reregister fp many numerous times and all again. Funny angles. Upside down. U name it.
5th day magically worked like 90% now except probably after wash hands or when body heat higher like after a long walk etc.

Ultimately really feel is who installing. How much glue on which area etc so is luck. Overall definitely better than zeelot which deteriorated to 0% after few days. Take out the zeelot and u will understand. It's like glueless...

I using cheap Aliexpress case. Just a back protector kind so no case compatibility issues

My wsd peeled off slightly at the top again on the second day. Sigh.

How thick is zeelot and Whitestone glass?

I dunno the exact thicknesses as in number. The shop show me both (both reject and they intend to throw so i can play with it).

I first try WSD, its perhaps only half of s9+ WSD thickness. It break easily too. Zeelot is about 10 to 20% thicker. Zeelot also have the advantage of cover ing the front camera.

This sounds like a problem of inaccurate registering of finger print. You need to register the tip/top-half of your finger area, instead of the whole finger, since that's the spot that you actually use to unlock the phone. Once you've registered it properly, you should be able to just tap and unlock.

A word of advice: better to stick with the included screen protector. Personally, the whole tempered glass nonsense not really worth it, since got so much issue, and reduces the efficiency of the in-display scanner. Just slap on a case, and you'll be solid.

Yup I'm thinking of going back to plastic too. That's what I used for my s7 edge last time until wsd came out.

Are there any places selling PET film protectors similar to Samsung stock? Noted most on the market are tpu kind which result in rainbow effect etc

The one I'm currently using doesn't have the rainbow effect, but the oleophobic coating not very good. Lots of finger prints. I hear spigen's screen protector is supposedly quite good (good oleophobic coating), albeit a bit expensive.

May I know where you got it from?

Heard Spigen one is not very clear

Mobilestop at JP is one of the official applicators for WSD.

Anyway I got tired of all the issues with WSD (I think the rumour of a second batch is just placebo) and went back to zeelot. Reapplied at casefactorie and the second version seems to work much better than the first.
