Why does tradepac at sls sells the components so cheap compare to the rest?
Is it 2nd handed or other wise

Almost no sales service given. Buy n go attitude. It's a trade off between good price n service.

I bought stuff from Tradepac before. Price good but not always have stock. Forget about service.

Laser have good service. Videopro not bad too. Price a bit more.

Yup, if you want cheap, forget about service, you want service, you need to pay for it. There is no free meal in this world.

Add 'worst service' too.

Or rather 'nonexistent' service

Well, if you know your stuff you wouldn't need the service.

Just pay, wait for item to arrive, check and go. I ask for 2 carton of box and they gave to me, tightly packed with layers of tape. So yeah, not a bad service afterall;)

Do note not all items are cheaper on Tradepac. So still need to compare as after all, there's little incentive to patronize them other than price.

For this, u need to know that some distro will openup to put warranty card. So it is normal to receive opened box. As long as seal nt touched, it is fine.

Just another thread. Lol

Like many said before. Want good service go pcthemes. Want cheap go tradepac.

Do note that there is reason why its cheap. Not because its 2nd hand or anything bad for consumers. It is because they do not declare GST. And they dont charge customer gst for it.

There is a reason why the receipt is Best Computer rather than tradepac. I dare you all ask to open tradepac receipt. You will see a gst collumn declared.

I think we strayed away already, from prices to services.

TS wants to know why their items are cheap, so I'd say I don't know why. Maybe they don't charge GST, maybe there are selling at distro price with only $1 profit or whatever the reason is. As a consumer, I see cheap I buy, and no its not 2nd hand to a certain extent.

If you know your parts and you know how to diy then Tradepac, if you don't know then go pc themes.

Different cost model. It's a back alley store, with a not-so-stellar reputation. I suspect (though I have no proof) they have parallel imports mixed in with legit local inventory, much like a few other frontrow stores.

There are things I'll buy there, things I won't.

It's a good option for people who frequent SLS and know the geography.

It's not a place I'll recommend for any of my friends who just want to buy a computer/part, unless they're experienced.
