Recently got two cases of people purchasing mobos with bent pins. Kinda nervous to buy from them. Might just go PCT after all. :/

So I guess you need to check the condition of the product before you leave the shop. Safe.

for the PC bundles by tradepac and other shops, the items' warranty are all to the manufacturers, not the shops ?

Is WD Caviar Blue 1TB a safe item to get?

Duh. What makes you think it's unsafe?

local stocks mean ? so the items' warranty are to the shops, not the manufacturers ? that's why some price lists read 1 year PC warranty by shop.

Local stocks = warranty in SG by respective distributors

Warranty by shop = warranty directly by shop item was purchased from = parallel imported

Because when everyone else is selling at 75 and they sell 70. What I concern is official local support.

Then, you are free to get from the shop at $75... Extra $5 for assurance is a cheap price to pay.

废话,if I can get the same thing at 70, of course I'll go for 70. You've said something like you've said nothing.

Lol, then u also scared is parallel imported.... u also talk nonsense... There is a reason why TP is cheaper than other shops, and its mainly due to GST.

Top tip: TP are so busy shifting stocks that they're remotely concerned about beginning to scam customers by selling PI stuff of the same item available locally

Because some people are so afraid of being scammed that they might as well pay more to get from a non-chopper shop

Local stocks mean warrantied by distro. If its warrantied by shop, it means the shop parallel imported it. You should give some example of things that are warrantied by shop so that it will be more clear cut.

Also, for a certain shop, they bring in the brand themselves, so they can state it to be warrantied by shop.

Local stocks = warranty by DISTRIBUTOR.

Please if you don't dare buy then don't buy lah.

They are cheap because there's no gst receipt.

No worries about tradepac. Warranty is local distro.

The local distros work with a few shops, Tradepac is one of them.

anyway, these days, i sometimes find dealing with manufacturer directly is better than local distro.

Like this type of reply is more helpful. Thanks.

If anyone has had experience buying HDD at lower than all the others price and later needed to RMA and has done it smoothly without issue, that's what people are glad to learn. At least we know that it's possible and need not to be too skeptical. Forums are for sharing experience and discussions, not for some non-constructive replies just for the sake of replying, no?
