Typically a challenge can only be successful if the will is not done "properly", like you dunno what you are doing or there is technicality like witness don't meet criteria, or there are competing will document.

I see, my concern is my sibling will try to challenge the will to get my hdb flat, claiming that he is the occupier. Another thing is I need the law firm to provide witness as I can't find anyone to do so for me. Parents passed on, and I'm not comfortable with asking relatives or friends. My relatives are overseas anw.

might be worth speaking to those charities you want to donate to how best to approach it. cause you also need an executor.

Can I get a law firm to be my executor? My relatives are all overseas, I don't feel comfortable asking my friends.

if you plan to engage a law firm. ask the lawyers?

or since u plan to donate to charities, then speak to them how it might best work for them?

My guess is HDB is your name but sibling living inside? How it reach such situation? Now I understand your concern. In shows and reality we see when talk about monies all siblings relationship can throw out of the window. Furthermore both parents gone situation is very fluid. All the best hope you get your ideal will formulated

He just kinda tagged along to live with me, thinking that my life plan includes him. now our relationship has soured as he refused to contribute a single cent even though my relatives has already advised him it is wrong to live rent-free. its very unfair for me and i need to do something about it.

You don’t need to be old to plan for your legacy.

In fact the earlier the better.

earlier I linked you to a website “mylegacy”, do yourself a favour and put in some effort to look through that.

Government is concern enough to create it so check it out

Not close with any of my cousins, haven't met nor spoke to any of them in the last 5 years. Most are overseas anw.

I'm not comfortable with getting my friends cos its personal finance stuff.
Actually why not comfortable ah?

Aren’t you talking about after you pass?

essentially no longer your personal finances.

you just need someone to carry out your wishes after you pass. And not like they can do anything funny since everything is documented

I do not wish to trouble my friends as I know for sure my sibling will attempt to challenge the will (not like he will succeed), he will go all the way out to wrack havoc. Anw my friends are all married with their own commitments, its best if I can leave itcto a professional like a law firm.

Anyone nominated a professional executor in your will? How much does it cost? Preferably a lawyer or law firm.
