I think we should take a targeted approach for each sector/industry/professions.

If the law were to apply only to locals (include PRs) and exclude those only with WP/S-Pass/EPs, the results might be counter-productive when we will likely end up with certain sectors or professions having mostly FTs due to cheaper labour costs.

Besides absolute numbers, the policy must also incorporate incentives and guidelines to encourage companies/entities to focus more on quality workers with the right skillset which much include proper communication skills rather than just getting a headcount.

However, the priority should go first to Singaporean citizen, then PR, then FW/S-Pass/EP. It makes basic cow sense.

It can't be like now all lump together and claim wholesale with a broad sword that they are bringing in FTs to 'create more jobs for Singaporeans' and that putting it broadly again that min wage will create more job losses.

The current complacent PAP-Gov must be stretch further to come out with more practical solutions to justify their million-dollar salaries.

Else if this Elitist Party idiots continue the way they are doing now to always give all kinds of raniao excuses for their flawed policy with crying drama, their support and vote share will go on a steeper decline, and hasten their downfall in coming elections.

It's a struggle that people with conscience must continue to fight for the rights of Singaporean citizens until we take back what rightfully belongs to us which was lost a long time ago since the '80s.

I think we should implement the PWM across the board.

And penalize companies that don't adhere to it :o

PAP (probably pinky) got ideology issue with minimum wage

if HK can implement since 2010, why can't SG?

Applying min wage policy

Means closing the gap between the rich and the poor. That's why the elite are pro pap because gov take care of their pocket. If they need to retrench and close down business because they cannot afford the min wage, there will always be someone else who can takeover this business for less profit.
