hi yamash|ta, thanks for the reminder.

are we then allowed to post discounts/lobangs that we find? because i think this is something the wine community is always looking out for.

on aside note, do you enjoy wine?

There is no issue on the sharing of discounts/good deals so long as the forum user in question has no interest or stand to benefit from the sharing.

I do enjoy wine but not much of an expert except knowing the difference between red and white wines. :s13:

Oops sorry yama****a for the infraction. Will be more prudent next time.

I think sharing lobangs should be ok, as long as it is obvious you are not a merchant.
For MO next time we should just go by PM.

One of the reasons why mass orders are not allowed here is because we do not want fly by night forum users to conduct mass orders and disappear with the collected funds.

Hardwarezone has a mass order forum which requires the mass order organizer to provide identification to Hardwarezone to ensure the safety of the mass order participants. You guys should consider this avenue too. :)

just had awesome burgers at De Burg, in the HDB estate opposite Ikea Queensway.

Paired it with 2006 Clos du Val Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

That's is a expensive joint... Went there the last round, instead of wine, order the beer instead. Have to passed on this coming Sat Event as i got Birthday luncheon with Friends. Will join you the next time. BTw, drank the Donnhoff, which you ikileo recommeded, My GOSH! it was great! Very smooth and fruity.. i will also use the word refreshing... Also open the Wiizburger Pfaffenberg Spatburgunder 2007. Light and sweet, got it from Magma sometimes ago...taste like Pinot noir but not too sure as i forgotten which grape was it..overall very

the wine on tap looks interesting, plus its a white wine with skin contact, hence the orangue hue!

on a side note: who went down to the Crystal wine fair? how was it?

it's not the cheapest place on earth, but in the grand scheme of things, their burgers are really above others i've tasted. the one i had yesterday was perfectly seasoned and cooked and it didn't need any extra sauce/condiment at all.

think of it as topping up a couple of dollars from a botak jones burger, but u get something thats miles above in terms of quality.

hey ivan, welcome to the forum.

2 most important question:

1) What's your budget?

2) Is the person you are giving the wine to someone who is very into wine?

So sorry for the super late reply. In the end, I bought some Jazz music for the house warming for him to listen to while drinking his wines. But I noticed he prefers moscato.

that's nice.

moscato is an easy fave because it goes down well and is popular due to its very approachable flavours.

starhappy

total: 8 pax.

anyone else interested? open to all. u just gotta bring a sauvignon blanc that's nice!

crap gotta start working on actually getting a bottle hah!

In the meantime kindly let me know who is bringing a new world and who is bringing an old world? my friend is also bringing a bottle so there will be 5 bottles at least.

i can get an old world. starhappy is new world. ideally i would like 3 new + 2 old. we'll taste it blind of course so please cover/foil up your wines. and if yours is a screwcap, that might make it obvious as well haha...unless u funnel it into a random bottle.

First time dining at Asia Grand, so got a couple of questions to ask:

1. Do we need to provide our own stemware, or will AG provide for us?
2. Do they charge cockage? For unlimited bottles?
3. Shall we chill our wines before going? Maybe a long wait for the wines if we start chilling when we reach AG..

I do not have any Sauvignon Blanc so have to source one from nearby bottlesx2 or finest. Likely I will bring one from new world as it is more widely available...

20ish or less will be fine, need around 60bottles.

I posted the questions page back, there are some answers from the forummers (I tried the Yellow Tail, not bad, but I bought from NTUC Finest).
I wanted to ask "Where should I source the wines from? Winebos?"

The hotel is offering Cornerstone 2011 - Chile wine $28 a bottle :s8:
