actually there are a couple of wine retailers that do wedding wines. there's of course winebos. cornerstone does it as well. you can try cellarmaster or SUTL too.

what i did for one of my friends was buy a lot of bottles during the a carrefour wine fair. the guests liked the wine and it cost like $16 per bottle.

even then, u can find regular supermarket wine under $25.

sorry i don't have much experience with wedding wines. maybe in a few years when i get married haha.

20ish or less will be fine, need around 60bottles.

I posted the questions page back, there are some answers from the forummers (I tried the Yellow Tail, not bad, but I bought from NTUC Finest).
I wanted to ask "Where should I source the wines from? Winebos?"

The hotel is offering Cornerstone 2011 - Chile wine $28 a bottle :s8:

Oh you missed the recent Crystal wine new world wine experience if not that will be good opportunity for you to taste and pick up good wines at less than $30 for wedding banquet. Like the KAIKEN ULTRA CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2007 ($26.5), KAIKEN CORTE 2008 ($25.8), DE BORTOLI WINDY PEAK CABERNET MERLOT 2008 ($23) and MAXWELL SILVER HAMMER SHIRAZ 2010 ($25) are all good provided you have the budget. I have no doubt all will be better than Cornerstone 2011 at $28 a bottle. Below that price range you can only pick up mass production or supermarket wine.

Kaiken Ultra Cab is my top pick as I tried a bottle and it is very nice. But I have seems more than often people use wine for yum seng than to enjoy it slowly. So maybe Yellow Tail just fit the purpose.

Of course you need to consider if you engage wine shop for banquet services, they will include delivery and sometimes unconsumed bottles can be returned too. If not for that getting from Fairprice or finest you can get further 5% discount for 6 bottles or more.

I should be bringing something from ye old worlde...

Was at the Crystal Wines NW Sale late afternoon, not much left for tasting when I reached, only tried some Montes Alpha Carmenere & Greywacke Sauv Blanc. Some of the bargain wines I wanted - Battle of Bosworth Shiraz, Penny's Hill Cracking Black and Mr Riggs Adelaide Hills Riesling - were all sold out. I got the Cape Mentelle and De Bortoli Yarra Chards, and the Frankland Isolation Ridge Riesling based on some decent reviews.

Tempting. But I'm leaving for BKK this Sat evening. Wondering if I could/should join this...

I'll confirm later tonight/tomorrow.

I might not have time to source a bottle of SB and I don't recall having any at home. I'll probably bring along some other white if there're no violent objections?
