Don't have leh... NOw storing it in my cupboard well hidden from any light as i put in a carrefour wine carrier. If really not recommend will bring it to my fridge and put in at the lowest level ( the Veg Section).

I think it's fine, just make sure it's in the coolest part of your house (except the fridge). And perhaps drink up within the next year. if u are thinking of getting more wines and keep and drink over the next few years, i would highly recommend u invest in a small wine fridge.

Got it during the cold storage wine Fest. need to double check. cos as the event is picnic, i think Chardonnay might be more suitable ( Cool refreshing)... Will update the name tonight. BUT i noticed that there are some particles in the wine...i think from the cock, but looks abit....

Chardonnay is fine, just wanna know which producer it is. was this the wine fest at vivocity? the particles are definitely not from a cock, haha... it could be from the cork or could be that the wine was purposely unfiltered, hence u see some particles...but don't worry you don't die. it's perfectly fine.

sorry i cant help much with choice of wine... and my question is away from your choice of wine too...

drank a Chateau Reynier 2006.... smaller 375.... quite "smooth" & "light" to me but my mum says it's "heavy" ...

someone taught last time if cannot finish, can pour the reminder into those 187s or 200s and screw-capped it.... does it work this way?

anyone tried before? comments? thanks.

not drank it before, but as with most red bordeaux in general, it should be around a medium bodied wine. maybe your mum really finds all red wines to be heavy haha..maybe next time u let her try two wines side by side, one medium and one heavy bodied for her to get used to it.

your poured it from a half bottle (365ml), just turn the cork upside down and recork it. The cork doesn't have to go in all the way, maybe just the first 1/4 of the cork. keep it at room temperature and just drink up by the next day. It should be fine. i do it for all my wine if i can't finish them (which rarely happens haha...)

hey guys, i went through the price list for the Auric Pacific wine fair that Wine Learner posted. Some nice stuff there. I have highlighted a yellow box next to the wines i think are good. I did not apply any for Burgundy as I do not have the experience to make a judgement and for the Rhone, Italian and American wines I only highlighted the few that I know that are from good producers.

remember, these are only my opinions, best is to head down and taste those that are available.

I had this Pinot when I was last in SFC. Excellent, but pretty pricey. If I remember correctly, USD$60 or USD$90. Fishermen Wharf pricing.

Found this in Barworks' online catalogue but didn't see it when I was down at their stores.

Let me know if anyone spot it locally.

made a quick stop at the Auric Pacific wine fair/sale today. some really good discounts, a good number of stuff (especially bordeaux) were sold out, which was a good thing, so i don't have to wrack my brain thinking what to buy in my given budget. tasted a couple of stuff which were not bad and quite a good deal. there were a couple of bordeaux i tried that were from a supposedly 'weaker' vintage that were drinking rather well and at a good price too..

in the end i bought 3 wines:

04 L'Aventure Optimus - Syrah/Cab Sauv/Petit Verdot blend. Paso Robles, California, USA
04 Paul Blanck Gewurztraminer 'Altenbourg' - Alsace, France
01 Chateau Chasse Spleen - 1/2 bottle, Moulis-en-Medoc, Bordeaux, France

Dropped by yesterday and almost got a shock when the sign said "by invitation only". Managed to enter without any problems and bought the following bottles:
06 Veramonte Sauv Blanc Chile
05 Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy Gevrey-Chambertin
01 Domaine Humbert Freres Gevrey-Chambertin
98 Chateau La Louviere Pessac-Leognan

the '98 la louviere was pretty nice right? still very bright for a 12 year old wine.

Yup it was still good. The wine was on tasting yesterday when i was there. Being a 98, the secondary flavours are already pronounced and the body was still good.

i may be going, but my timing is very tight so see how first.
plus i blew my wine budget this month already, might just go there for a single day and just taste and will probably not buy anything.

Hi hi, read something interesting, wanna share"
The Paris tasting... between US & French wines... US wines "won", right?

There is a Berlin tasting.... between Chilean & French wines... guess who won?

Errazuriz replicated the "Berlin" tasting over at Singapore. Was at Fairmont I think. Brother Reign, your Errazuriz got No 1.... over some of the best French (think there was Margaux or something like that?)

Read that in Wine & Dine magazine (not the latest... sorry I slow reader... was 1-3 issues back... now where is that mag ....)

Interesting!
So sad I missed Auric....
But believe that there are always good deals out there... which we can share at this platform :)

By the way, you know Taka basement? Just outside cold storage? Got many places to makan + choc area? There is this new small place which sells wine.... just outside cold storage cashiering area.... so interesting!
