Alcohol limits about a year ago. Got my cousin to bring in 2 bottles of 750ml wine without tax a couple of days ago. http://www.customs.gov.sg/insync/issue08/features/duty_free.html

@kangzkangz: too bad i didn't go to that event. normally would have cos you get to taste a lot, but i am saving money for my trip next month. so have you got a grasp on pinots and chards? and noticeable difference between a Central Otago Pinot Noir and a red Burgundy?
Best is in town..Any nice n quiet place that i can drink wine well into the late night or morning.. other than hotels..Best is in town..

Here's a wine theme for this coming weekend: Drink a wine made from a grape you've never had or from a country you've never drank from and tell us how it was!
I really hope to get some replies here. I will do my part too by looking around for a varietal i've never had!
One more wouldn't hurt (until the cellar is full)Water & Wine is having a sale offer for wines by Christian Moreau, a top Chablis producer. Chablis is a region in Burgundy which makes white wine using Chardonay. The wine from the region is also known as Chablis and IMO is a good place to start your burg journey as Chablis are generally more moderately priced among the white burgundy regions and still delivery great performance.
The entry level starts from $40 (and it's a pretty good buy) up to $105 for their top wine, which IMO is rather affordable considering other burgundy regions command prices for their basic wines from $80 and up.
This is a very temping offer for me but I can't buy any wine this moneymaybe just one....
