93.. i think its on the bar counter all these years.. outside looks good.

1999.. i store it in the gift box in the store room. no direct sunlight for both.

never rate a bottle by how good the exterior looks.

you can open and try. i would have higher hopes for your '99 than your '93.

low gas is fine...personally i like to drink champagne after a while in the glass when the bubbles are not so much but the flavours open up more.

@reign: the one we drank during the dim sum is not on the list. The one we drank was the basic QBA. You can buy the next level up which is the 'Kabinett' for about $69. These are whites that you can keep easily for the next 5-10 years assuming proper storage. u can buy 2, one to try now, one to keep for later.

i saw the list and i shortlisted out the ones I would like to have, but I need to shave that list down somemore because I just bought 2 bottles of italian wine: a 1990 Tuscan wine & 1985 Piedmont wine.

Some long awaited updates. Some pics from the makan we had with reign, beta_tester, looiwte & his wife. Thanks for the wine and company! It came up to $20 a pax.

they bring in the good german producers whose rieslings can age very well.

just collected my

1990 Castello di Monsanto "NEMO" (100% Cabernet Sauvignon)
1985 Pio Cesare Dolcetto d'Alba (100% Dolcetto)

collected it from some ulu warehouse...tired.

Everything from the basic like Etiquette, pronouciation of different type of grapes, what kinda wine to look out for for what kinda food etc.. :)

I want those that you have done before with all the Fruits.. where we can link the taste of the fruit to the wine...
