to make it easier, those with +1 just indicate beside your name in the spreadsheet.

actually there's another recommendation for cheap and good chinese food that is drinks friendly. le chasseur along north bridge road opposite central. free corkage. only pay 50c for wine glass, or bring your own. food is home cooked styl no msg, etc.

Ok so confirmation list:

- reign +1
- looiwte +1
- ikileo + 1
- condor
- hkm

total pax: 8 pax
total bottles: 5 bottles

do we want to say the type of wine we will bring, just simply red/white/sparkling/dessert? so at least there's some balance. Either way when it's served blind we can still see the colours so no difference.

let me know. I will proceed to call Imperial Treasure Cantonese Cuisine @ Great World City to make the reservation at 7pm.

@reign: yup, it will be blind but we just state here whether it's red/white/sparkling with no other details. this is because I have short listed a couple to bring so i just wanna see which type most people are bringing so i can bring something else.

Ok steady.

First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
Had a rough week, so am glad that's all over and looking forward to plenty of rest and feasting with the family.

I would like to bring dessert or white wines, but have limited experience with anything >50 bucks. To fit the premium wine theme, can I bring a red wine that can be had with or without food? Could probably even go with dessert, but maybe not a Chinese-style one. Hope this doesn't give it away eh...

i lucked out today. every Christmas my family has lunch at a family friend's place with lots of other people and there's always wine. there was a nice rose, a meh white and someone brought a bottle of red.

upon seeing the red, i requested to open it and they did. by the end of the lunch only 1/4 of it was drunk and i asked whether i could take it home. they said "sure, please help us clear the wine".

it was a 2002 Concha y Toro Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon. haha...basically Concha's top end wine.

I let it continue to breathe in the bottle for another 6 hours and enjoying it now with a home cooked steak meal. Merry Christmas everyone :D

I have another friend interested to join in, is there room for one more?
