Haha, got lots!

- Understand what ikileo and hkm are talking about when they say secondary and tertiary flavours in older wines.
- Be more value-conscious and strategic when purchasing wines
- To take the snob and intimidation out of wine with people I know, but at the same time get them to go beyond their supermarket Jacob's Creek/Wolf Blass and into stuff like CdRs, Dolcettos and value Tuscan wines.
- To start a wine blog to share the learning experience, as well as to discuss the local wine scene. Anyone keen to contribute a column?
- To go on a holiday that includes visiting vineyards, eg. somewhere in Oz or Piemonte, Italy.

On the local wine scene, think still some way to go to blow away the mystique and get the masses interested, more to be done on education? From restaurant sommeliers to small retailers, like Bottles & Bottles/1855 etc., I think educating/sharing/piquing interest can all be improved. Maybe someone here should start a winelibrarytv!

I don't mind grabbing one, not sure if we can amass a case though!

anyone interested to pool this from crystal?

Btw any recommended labels at Straits Wine?

Only good ones I know are G.D. Vajra (Piemonte), Weingut Max Ferd. Richter (Mosel), Mischief and Mayhem (Burgundy) and Two Hands (Barossa).

i'm keen to take 2 each from 07 and 08. i can probably get single case price for combination so if there're takers for 8 more bottles it would be great.

i'd prob drop by turf city tomorrow and see what they have to offer. in addition to what you have mentioned, i'm looking for offers for Schloss Schonborn and Ara. will open my eyes for their austrian labels.

i have tried the pfaffel range before at the 2009 Wine For Asia event.

that was their first event in SG and I guess Straits Wines took them up as a distributor. I recall liking their 'Wein 2' and 'Blauer Zweigelt'

Sold out liao. Funnily enough, just received a mailer from Cornerstone wines about an offer for the 07, at 64 bucks for 1-11 bottles, and 60 for 12-23 bottles. Better act fast if keen, the 04 Argiano Brunellos there had all been taken when I enquired.

i recent went to the wine appreciation thingy in my school. FOC coz my friend some recreation club guy. Left few slots n he asked me n a friend to make up for the empty slots..

This person conducting the wine thing brought along this 54 Wine Aroma - Master Kit. I nv thought wine can have so many of these more common smell. We spend sometime, or rather quite a lot of time smelling than drinking. Like a blind smelling test.. Those who guess a few correct get a bottle of Brown Brother wine.

Very interesting for me. The french guy quite nice person though his accent really difficult to understand at times.
