Can we buy from SUTL directly? I only know the owner's son but not very close since secondary school already. Sibei kan pua rich. Obscenely rich.

They usually have warehouse sales once or twice a year. Not sure if you can buy direct but you can ask them (contact info on their website). Most of their wines are in the supermarkets anyway.

Yup I've had that, not bad.
Also Pauletts from Wine Connection.
Pikes from Wine Directions as well as smaller labels from new importer Merchants (http://www.premiumimporters.sg/).

Yes, Pauletts. I remember it's very citrusy.

Thanks for the recommendations btw.

Hi, can anyone recommend a pinot noir for a starter. Price range from $20-40? Have anyone tried Handcraft pinot noir? how is it.

at $20-$40, burgs are out of the range. you can try new zealand pinots or even chilean pinots. due to the fickle nature of the grape and hard to grow, a decent entry level pinot would probably be in the high $30s to low $40s.

stuff that's readily available in supermarkets are brands like kim crawford. cold storage brings in this label that's pretty good: TIKI.

if you have time you can check out 1855 Bottle Shop store and they have a decent selection of NZ pinots. do let us know if you need more help!

Anyway knows? Mr Noto from Magma has passed away, apparently in a traffic accident in Germany. I went down to Magma and it was business as usual. Sigh, RIP.

That's the wiry-haired guy right. Seen him around at wine events. I think I read about it somewhere on social media. Our condolences.
