Wireless bluetooth EAR BUDS recommendations

Ask you all for recommendations. I am looking for cheap cheap Bluetooth earphones

• $30-$40
• true wireless. Switch between left and right side instantly with no lags
• can control volume on the earphone

What options are there?

If no lag then haylou gt plus.

Their 'quicklink 2.0' technology is really fast and seamless.

It checks all my boxes except:
1. ambient mode
2. ANC
3. Customizable touch controls.


But at this price point, I should not be demanding for these...


And its weird control scheme really has a point. It really supports single earpiece mode.

If I am a person who wants to use single ear and wants volume control, I can do everything on the left earpiece (vol+, vol-, play/pause)

If I am a person who wants to use single ear and wants to skip/return tracks, I can do everything on the right earpiece (Skip, return, play/pause, voice assistant).

It sort of make up for the lack of ambient mode.

The most worthy $60 I spent, making my sabbat e12 ultra which cost me $64 a bad purchase in comparison.

i haven't had the issue where only 1 side have sound .. the only complain that i have is that it takes a while for it to connect when I take it out from the case.

Haylou GT connects faster though but i still like the volume control of the Truedots ..

Its really a good one to buy, probably the best under $100. We don't see much earpiece having these amount of features, sound/call quality and even a capable app support at this price point.

If you intend to get one, be careful though, as prices varies wildly depending on where u get from, from $60 to more than $100.

Cheapest I found is taobao, for $60 inclusive of shipping.

It also has 2 versions. A chinese voiced (for its notification) version and an english voiced version. Taobao ones are chinese voiced.

The safest ways to get an english voiced ones is to order from Amazon US (US$49.99, not including shipping and forwarder costs) and gearbest ($87 for the english voiced version).

I did ask Lazada ($74) which version are they selling and they claimed its the english voiced version, though its not stated anywhere in the listing. But I do have bad experiences in other occasions where seller says one thing, but I receive another thing. End up having to return the product at my own cost. So I did not buy from Lazada.

im looking for a good tws for running. so far most of my wired bluetooth headset spoil within 6 months. my redmi airdot have very bad audio drops during run.

I think this is how tws+ works. It tries to check whether you took one bud out, or both buds. If its both, it tries to connect to each other, then connect to your device. This causes some lag.

In some occasions, the 2 buds cannot connect to each other in time, and the phone connects to one piece only. After that, the 2nd piece gets connected, resulting in the first one having no sound.

For haylou and sabbat, I think they have some self-recovery mechanism where if one of the earbuds is not connected properly (and therefore no sound), I tap/press the button on the one w/o sound and it will reconnect and resolve the issue.

For truedots, it doesn't seem to have this self-fixing. I have to disconnect, put both buds back to the case, then attempt to reconnect again.

I think the only earpiece which meets the budget is Soundpeats truedots. But I won't say it switches left/right with no lag.

Its on using tws+ structure and connects to your device 2 times (ie, you will see 2 devices on your bluetooth setting).

Whatever you encounter on sabbat e12 ultra, you will encounter in truedots.

If your budget is slightly higher, I would have recommend Fill T1x ($60+ from taobao, around same size as sabbat e12 ultra, but thicker and protrudes a bit out from your ear). Although its not running on qualcomm tws+, its double master setup is absolutely seemless.

I was fine with Awei T10c as backup. My first pair, i accidentally dropped one side, and the charging panel fell off so cannot charge on that side. Very lucky got a free replacement. Don't know why after working a few weeks, the magnet seems weak, thus the earphone is not able to hold onto the case to charge. I have to keep push twist turn until a certain angle then it will hold into the case...

If i exclude Haylou Gt1 plus, i will probably look at mpow m5 (IPX7). My wife uses Sabbat E12 ultra and has no problem running with it. Just want to find a different TWS.

So far the worst experience was while I am taking the escalator in Chinatown Point from basement going up to level 1, the sound suddenly cracked and sounded very bad. I had to put the earphones back into casing, take it out to pair again.

I am feeling its like either have good connection or good sound, dont have best of both world yet?

Some $200+ tws also have connection issues. So far, my t1x is awesome. The range and stability beats sabbat.

Just that the case looks like a black brick...or a mini coff**n........

Having thought through, I think the problem lies with the Sabbat e12 ultra. It gets connection drops when I am connecting it to my macbook pro 2011, which definitely is not bluetooth 5.0. Funny thing is, the budget ones like my haylou gt2 and truedots do not get connection drops when connecting to it.

Maybe the e12 ultra's connection to lower bluetooth versions is not great.

If u don't mind, lemme critic your critic.

1. I am a real user and hopefully my experience counts. This is the cheapest earpiece you can get that is made for sports, and its a great one to have at this kind of prices.

2. Yes, it uses realtek and has no aptx. But aptx is just a codec that deals with compression/decompression of audio. Its impact on audio quality is much lesser than how the earpieces are tuned. A lot of people read too much into codec support. They are good to have, but not enough to heavily affect sound/battery life.

Plus, it offers its own tech to connect seamlessly and left/right earbuds are both master, not master-slave like other earbuds, and it works better than tws+ from qualcomm in my opinion.

3. Sound is customizable using its customized app made just for the earpiece, and any customization is applied to all the devices u connect with. You don't get an app support with any earpiece at this kind of prices. It can be adjusted to have higher bass and a customised app for the device works much much better than those general ones u can download in the stores.

4. Your consideration for mpow T5 do have ipx7, but its not made for sports. If u want good ipx rating plus sports, u might have to look at those jabras.

5. Having local warranty only means your choices will be restricted to those that actually have an authorised local distributor.

IKR. My cheaper Awei connection is almost always seamless kinda put my E12 ultra to shame, I'dnot the latter has better sound quality... Weird how the cheaper ones are doing better on connection...

Yes, it's almost perfect. Built-in memory, Bluetooth which never dropped connection even know on me. If need to find fault, it is not true wireless, and battery life is a little weak.
