If changed to the Comply tips on the Elite 65t, can the case be closed?

The other day I was trying the Spinfit tips on my Elite Sport at Stereo and can't even close the case.

can share which spinfit tips you get and what size ?

It's like that, the characteristic of soft silicone tips. So what I did was to just push it in until it rests on the ears, no need to push until so deep unless it's the dual or triple-flanged tips.

If you think it's still not 'isolated' enough, try the comply tips. The best fit is still my CIEM but I've already left the world of wired earphones.

All my iems used so far all single tip kind..

All can give it a gentle push in place. Only E8 i cant. Need to just slot it in place on the ears without pushing in.

That being said its currently my daily driver with my pixel 2 xl for daily commute.

No complaints with sound quality so far. Comfortable for long hrs use also. Longest i have used it in one go is around 3hrs. Playing via my device at 72% vol. So far not quite sure how long a fully charged E8 can last me. Maybe as advertised, around 4hrs.

When you push too deep with silicone tips..it create seal so good until it become vacuum in between your canal..then the sound will muffed.

Yes because the pocket of vacuum is putting some pressure on your eardrum, hence muffed.

what did you finally do ?

I didn't get the Spinfit and sold off my Elite Sport and bought Elite 65t instead.

I'm very happy with the 65t as the SQ is so much better than Sport especially the bass. The stock tips on the 65t gives a very good fit, hence, I didn't bother to look for 3rd party tips.

I mean personally for my own experience. First time I have such issues.

Used several other iems for many yrs but never get this issue. All silicon tips.

I actually went to try the foam tip that came with the E8 purchase, dont really like it.

But of course I'm no audiophile so most of my IEMs are value for money/bang for buck grade. The E8 is my most expensive audio hoot so far not taking into account my ipod classic probably 10yrs ago or so.

For those softer type, when pushed too far into the ear, sometimes the silicon tip will bend/flex/fold and hence blocking part of the audio outlet of the earbud, hence causing the muffed sounds too.

I love comply foam tip and use it full-time on my Earin M-1 last time, but disadvantage is that it wears out after a while and have to purchase new ones. For my E8, I'll just stick to the silicon one.

I’ve tried all types and the triple-flanged ones are the best in isolation for universal. The best in isolation I’ve had before is a custom tip for my UE TF10 Pro many years back.

For now, I’ll just enjoy my E8.
