Disappointed with Sony presentation on WF-1000xm5

already no covid liao but lazy to do a proper presentation… even a pre-recorded one is better than a 2-min advert

Any recommendations for wireless earbuds with a good bass 100$? Was using sabbat e12 for a few years now until I lost it some days ago so looking for a replacement.

Was wondering any Jabra users of this model feel this is still worth a buy at this price? :spin:

Cos I am most likely gonna get the new Sony WF-1000xm5 as my main and wanna get a spare one as backup and also when I go for runs and wondered if this Jabra 85T makes any sense? :s11:

Can try Creative Sensemore or Outlier Pro, both have IPX5. $89 or $69 respectively from the Creative website.

Jabra only the active series have better water/dust proofing, this Elite 85T is IPX4, same as XM4 and XM5 which is why I cancelled the order even thought the price is attractive. A lot of bad reviews from Singaporeans, like bad batch with QC issues.

I tried running with XM4, didn't get wet much but don't want to risk it.

For sound quality and bass, i also recommend Outlier Pro.
Another few to consider are
- Edifier W240TN
- Soundpeats Mini Pro
- FIIL T1 Pro
- Blackdot Pro 2 (another Sinkie company)

i have Jabra Elite 85T for close to 3yrs now. The build is great, good battery life.

Sound quality imo 85t is better than Sony wfXM4
the sound signature is more neutral
Better bass, better treble

even though 85t and wfxm4 earbuds look similarly large but 85t is more comfortable to wear for longer hours.

considering that the newer elite 7 is not even near to 85T says alot about its qualities and for under 140$… i feel its a steal, considering that I paid double the price at launch XD

Furthermore I have excellent after sales experience with Jabra whereby they did a 1-for-1 exchange for my Elite 65T even thou it no longer has warranty

i mean… which other earphone company does that?

on a daily basis, i find myself using 85t & airpods pro 2 more regularly than wfxm4 even thou my wfxm4 no longer had any battery drain issues.

for workouts, gym n exercises with wider range of movements….85t may not be very ideal… for slow jog, casual cycling, fast walking imo its ok.

One thing about Creative is their QC which doesn't seem to go well with most users though...

Earbud size ok, the eartips squeak in my ears, weird. But not falling out.

Like the earbuds material is squeaky when it rubs against ear canal, I go run like got mouse keep squeaking in my ears.

Edit: Changed to another eartip from many other earbuds over the years, work fine, better fit. The eartips are one of the shortest I've seen in a earbud. :s22:

sony wfxm4?! MLMLWML.... I won't recommend anyone to get the Sony Wf-1000XM4 even if its as cheap as the Creative Outlier Pro or Redmi Buds 4 Pro.

These are the only earbuds whereby it took one small firmware update to break the product but countless firmware updates to fix it. and afaik, there are still countless owners of the Sony wf-1000xm4 facing the battery drain issue even after the latest ver 2.0.1 update.

I mean.... why spend your hard-earn dollars on a half-baked product from a Company which used to take pride in delivering products with high QC and beautiful designs and make ourselves go thru hell...

My friend recommend this but I didn't buy because of the IPX4 rating, need for running.
