Ah, can only set 1 function per earbud, so ambient sound, playback or volume so max 2 functions.
Ya, the issue with the Sony turns on noise cancelling when taking out of the charging case, so everytime have to manually turn off, so need to assign the button to noise cancelling.

Was also thinking about this recently. What functions to assign to left and right buds.
In the end settle for NC on left, playback on right.
Volume don't really need, same for Google assistant. Both just use phone.

Torn between Sony wf-1000xm3 and Jabra Elite Active 75t. I like the design and ANC of Sony but like that the Jabra Elite Active is waterproof.
Mainly use it during commute but thought it's always good to have some water resistance in case of rain.
Both are around the same price, overall which is better?

Or any other recommendations?

Those of you who going for the bigger popular brands going like $200+++ above. Have you also tried before those lower ends brands like QCY, Haylou, mpow, or abit higher like Sabbat, Creative, Fiil etc?

tried sabbat, mpow t5, fiil t1x, lypertek tevi, mifo o5, qcy t5s, mifo o7, sound pests truengine 3 se. all sound great to me except sabbat and mifo o5 (both too bassy and warm)

end up sold all and bought a sony wf-1000xm3 for $185 and stopped chasing for newer earbuds. wanted to try a premium product once and did not regret it. sound quality is fantastic out of the box, which is only elevated when applied eq. my main reason for purchasing is the noise cancelling which has not let me down. only bad thing is the lack of water resistance which makes my butt clench whenever it drizzled, making me cover my earbuds with my hands, or even not using it altogether

I just saw this, makes me wonder if its worth spending so much on earbuds with AptX and still get poor latency on a local Samsung Exynos phones if high latency is a concern.
Maybe this is intentionally cos Samsung only want Exynos users to buy Samsung own buds which had low latency. It even got a gaming mode just for Samsung phones if u connect their buds using Samsung phones.

I used sabbat before. Was all good until the battery of one of the earbuds became haywire after 4 months. It wouldn't hold charge anymore. Goes the same for all other average brands I bought off shopee and so decided to invest in a more premium brand with good warranty and Jabra offers 2 years of warranty.

Hi I'm looking for a wireless buds that are not airpods that have a compact case small enough to confortably fit into jeans.

So far I've found pixel buds 2 to fit the criteria. I'm wondering if anyone has bought pixel buds and how bad are the connectivity issues and whether they are worth the 269 price tag. I've heard good things about mpow x3 too but I think it'll be too thick.

Any other recommendations would be great too

Yup melomania 1 case is very compact. The earbuds shape may not fit all though.

Another possible consideration is mifo o7.

Left is melomania 1 case, right is mifo o7 case.

Yes I used my samsung note 10 plus charger. Is it not supposed to?
I think you "burnt" the battery. Actually I read before, ideally phones best don't quick charge if can, even if the function is available on the phone.

Cool will check both out thanks!

Edit: after checking both out, they both seem really good, so it's kinda hard to choose. From your experience which sounds better?
