hi all, new to this thread. I'm recently looking for a NC wireless earbuds for my video watching on the go and for work. My priorities when looking for my ideal earbuds are (in order of my preference of importance (high to low):
1. Solid voice quality in a conference call ( i want clarity when making work calls. Calls that will isolate noises and pick up my voice clearly)
2. Noise Canceling (able to block out chatter in open office env so i can work in peace)
3. Sound quality (when playing back movies and music - with movies being priority, not much of a music person. Bassy is a plus)
4. Battery
5. Comfort

So far, I've shortlisted the following:
1. Jabra 85T
2. Earfun Air Pro
3. Bose QuietComfort Earbuds
4. Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Truly Wireless
5. TOZO NC9 Truly Wireless

It seems Anker Soundcore has the best sound quality is very good in call qualities in a noisy env (like open office). And has decent noise canceling. What do you guys think?
I have the Jabra 85T
#1 It has very good call quality be it normal phone calls, Whatsapp calls, Facetime, FB calls, LINE calls etc... basically almost any types of calls you wanna make from YOUR PHONE.

The call quality is good. But if there are people next to you talking loudly, the mics will pick it up as well.

Biggest CON:
It is not meant to use with laptops and PC.

if you intend to use it with your laptop or PC for work and video conferencing calls, STAY AWAY FROM JABRA wireless earbuds

now..... not all bluetooth wireless earbuds are built the same. Not all these wireless earbuds have the essential bluetooth profiles you need, if you intend to use it with your laptop or PC for work and video conferencing calls

afaik, here are some essential bluetooth profiles to look out for if you intend to use it with your smartphone, with your laptop or PC for work and video conferencing calls and even with your soundbar / hi-fi sound system:
- A2DP Advanced Audio Distribution Profile
- AVRCP Audio/Video Remote Control Profile
- GAVDP Generic Audio/Video Distribution Profile
- HFP Hands-Free Profile
- HSP Headset Profile

and to double confirm that the tws earbuds you are considering, can work with your laptop or PC for work and video conferencing calls, you might wanna bring a laptop to test at the shop (if they allow)

Thanks for reply. I nearly wanted to buy Jabra 85T, but after some research, I found out they fair poorly for calls in noisy environments. Good advice on the laptop testing at shop. Will try it out.

Hi guys, recently I just got the Fiil lite, I understand that there is an app that we can download. I tried to scan the QR code but for some reason my browser keep prompting me it's an unsafe web. Anyone can advise where can I download the app that is safe? Thank you!

Anyway A few days ago, I was browsing Kickstarter and I came across a new Kickstarter campaign talking about some AMAZING tws bluetooth wireless earbuds.

So, I decided to make a video to talk about it as I realised some of the things mentioned by the Creator are a bit shady.

So I hope this video will help fellows here, to decide better, if you are considering to back this campaign

I have been using the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Truly Wireless for 2 months now jumping from Huawei Freebuds Pro! Its sound quality beats the Huawei Freebuds Pro for sure!

It sounds realy great for both music and movie!! It has 22 preset EQ including Bass Booster and yet you are still able to further customise all the 22 preset EQ to suits your istening preferrence! Surely, you can find one EQ that you like! Nothing beat that!

Its ANC is not the best in the market but it does its job super well already! Frankly, I don't like too strong the ANC coz you can't hear the surrounidng totally and it's super dangerous!

The design of the earpiece is also very comfy to their ears and it holds tight! :)

The call quaity is indeed as good as what all the reviwers said! :)

Correct! Super dangerours coz you could totally lost the surrouding awareness!

If the earpiece's sound qaulity is good! You would just concentrate on the music sound itself and makes the ambient noise totally ignorable! :)

It seriously pains me every time you post about the Jabra Elite 85t being bad for laptop Bluetooth voice calls, because it would only mean neither have you done enough research on this, nor have you tried other Bluetooth earphones or headphones with your laptop and tried doing anything that requires using the microphone.

I am going to just say this once, anything Bluetooth if you are going to use the microphone functionality over Bluetooth with a windows laptop is going to suck total ass. It is a limitation of Bluetooth + windows Bluetooth stack; if you use the microphone, it will require bandwidth that you were using for sending Bluetooth audio to your earphones, to send your microphone output back to your computer.

When you don’t use the microphone, and the microphone isn’t activated or used by any other software on your laptop, the profile being used is A2DP, which transmits stereo audio to your Bluetooth earphones. When the microphone is in use, it goes into either HFP or HSP (can’t remember which), which is for sending dual mono audio to you, while sending your microphone back to the device. A2DP will automatically get disabled when the microphone is in use, making the audio you were listening to suck ass. You can easily try this out by playing music normally through the Bluetooth earphones then opening whatever it is that will access your microphone; the quality instantly goes to ****.

Throwing Bluetooth profiles around doesn't help a single bit, those profiles are the basics Bluetooth audio and any decent pair would have already fulfilled all those profiles. Just look at the technical specification for the Jabra Elite 85t here https://www.jabra.sg/bluetooth-headsets/jabra-elite-85t##100-99190701-98 (Supported Bluetooth profiles HSP v1.2, HFP v1.7, A2DP v1.3, AVRCP v1.6, SPP v1.2)

You want good wireless microphone quality? Get those purposed built wireless headsets. But the easiest would be to use wired microphones like YOU ARE DOING WITH YOUR XM3 AND THE WIRED MICROPHONE.

IF YOU WANT TO DO CALLS WITH YOUR LAPTOP OVER BLUETOOTH, STAY AWAY FROM BLUETOOTH TO BEGIN WITH BECAUSE IT SUCKS ASS.

p.s. the new forum UI and UX is cancer

Paiseh...then please kindly correct or coach me on my settings for Jabra 85t with windows-based laptop.

because i just can’t get it to work.
- gone into the Windows Sound settings to manually select Headset Jabra 85t (handsfree) for Audio & Microphone
- gone into the individual video conferencing software to manually select Headset Jabra 85t (handsfree) for Audio & Microphone

I turned to the Jabra reddit as there were people who said that their 85t could work with their laptops, i followed their advice and steps but cant work for me
I even called jabra also not getting anywhere

I have tested other wireless earbuds with my laptop to see if i can use the built-in mic for Zoom/Skype etc like Haylou GT1 pro, redmi, wf-1000xm3, airpod, airpods pro
their mics work fine. The process was very smooth and pretty easy to select the audio output & mic.

only 85t can’t seem to work

TIA

btw... the BT chip for my laptop is Intel and my laptop is Thinkpad T495s (AMD)

i have another laptop legion 5 (AMD chip) 85t also can’t work

if this issue is soley restricted to AMD CPU chips... then i LLST

if the elite 85t doesn't work after all the troubleshooting, and the rest of your bluetooth devices work
have you considered maybe the jabras should be RMA-ed?
or maybe try the elite 85t with another laptop and check if it works? in which case perhaps the issue lies with the laptop.

because my 85t works with no issue with my laptop other than the shitty audio quality if the microphone is in use.
my laptop also runs on AMD for CPU and intel for bluetooth.

I am not too concerned with audio quality XD cuz i know it will be bad

I tried on both my laptops, the jabra 85t can’t work, even after updating everything

Tonight i will try on my new mba
If still cannot, then i will get it replaced since its still under warranty.

Hey guys, just a quick warning against Mpow M30s. In 4 months of ownership I've spent more time trying to get them working than actually listening with them. Now my right earbud won't pair, will only light up if a finger touches it in the case, and also cannot be reset. As they were purchased with no warranty (even though from official Mpow store on Lazada) and are past the return period, I guess I'll have to give up on them and look for replacements.
