T7838WIP

I bought 2 T7837WIP thinking it has at least a digital zoom only to be told later, zoom doesn't work on Android. Then, another problem, the recorded videos on SD card cannot be exported too? I tried taking out the card and plug into my computer, but files cannot be read. What's the purpose of recording video on sdcard then? if I cannot archive them, cannot share my recorded video, watching on my phone is time consuming and kept hanging.

I am ignorant, but I really regret buying.

I'm using the Pro version too and never thought of what you just said.

It's done!

lol.

Thanks.

I downloaded the Lite version but dunno how to set it up. Computer idiot here, dunno what is IP addr, IPPT Port, so in the end, can't use it. I wanted to try IP Cam Viewer Lite instead of Eye4, cos I read IPCam Viewer can record video in Mpeg4? videos can be exported and I can use digital zoom which Eye4 app can't do any of these, am I right?

To add to the list, in addtion to VStarCam and dLink, other brands that can be considered include Aztech, Sineoji, Edimax and Trendnet, as well as some of the less common brands like Panasonic, Prolink, Sony, TP-Link, Bosch, ACTi, Samsung and FlexWATCH. It's all a matter of price, features and support.

Thanks mate, i was considering the Aztech WIPC403/ SINEOJI PT324IP Wireless Pan & Tilt IP Camera Any user's thoughts? As I am starting to get desperate due to needs to monitor maid and kid's activity

I think marix got guide for this setup. Just need to contact them if you had purchased from them.

In my review for their products, I did mentioned that android does not have digital zoom. Only iPhone. This is a gesture patent issue on android n iphone maker. So, they didn't do it as I understand.

Your microsd card card can be read using their offline player which can b downloaded from eye4 website. Only cannot b read by the usual media players.

For mobile phone recorded clips. Only iOS u cannot extract the clips. Android wise still can.

Most IP cameras if playback over mobile will "hang" cos it needs to download the clip to your mobile while recordig live n service live streaming clients, ur phone also have limited memory doiN many things at one time too. So can't blame how these IP cameras works. Its cheap n affordable so can't expect powerful performance.

I didn't read reviews, I just read on here that many people buying this model and I read the spec that says it has digital zoom, haiya. I didn't see your review and I didn't know what exactly I wanted except a digital zoom.

Oh yah, it is advisable for all buyers of IP cameras to do a read up of online reviews if any. Do a search to know what's the limitation and of cos manage your expectation as well. Otherwise you might be over expecting some features or buy something which gives you more headache.

Either one is fine. Just ensure that the specs meet your requirements.

Yesterday, I received the newer wide angle lens from marix. This one I installed gaves me much wider view than the current one. Previous 120 degree lens gave me ARD 90 degree actual view. The newer one gave me an actual 120 degree view. However, it is noted that we need to remove the lens cap for this new wide angle lens. For me, it isn't a problem. Now I get to see more on a single camera

The lesser view on existing wide angle is due to CMOS sensor @ 1/4 hence we get only 90 degree view. The newer lens is 150, so we can get a near 120 view.
