Hi,

Anyone can advise if after setting up the Sineoji wireless IP camera online, and I turn off the Wi-Fi/internet can I still continue to record locally onto the SD card in offline mode (like a standalone DVR).

Thanks,

Hi Alf

It will not record when your router is off unless I am wrong. Any reason why would you want to turn off the wifi router ?

Latest update.

Alf. I did a test and off the WiFi router. It does record to your sdcard, however, the time and dates will not be synchronized as the Ipcam needs to sync this parameters with your phone via your router.

desatan,

We have done some tests on your camera that we took back from you, here is one of the screen capture we have done in complete darkness.

We will be contacting you today on your exchanged camera to find out more details, as your situation is quite rare that some areas are so dark.

Thanks Gribber.

We offer value add service to set it up at no cost on your mobile and PC. We will perform a live demo at your residence during the setup so that it gives you the background of the video quality and the responsiveness on wifi and 4g mobile data.

We do not rewire any electrical trunking as you will need a license electrician to do that.

Hi Sineoji_Leon,
How long are the power adapter cables provided with the Sineoji cameras, and what are the ways to extend them?

HI hope79,

The power cable are approx 1.2 metres long. You can purchase an extension for additional 2 metres by connecting one end to the existing power cable and the other end to the camera.

Here are some tips to guide you through to setup your Sineoji 49x, 59x ipcams in 60 seconds.

How do I setup ?

Sineoji IP cameras has been designed to make it so easy for anyone who wishes to setup their ipcam within seconds. Just have your Android/iPhone ready to fire up the apps to configure it.

First, go to the iTunes and search for "Sineoji" and install the mobile app in your iPhone. If you are an Android user, there are 2 apps in Google Play, Search "Sineoji" in Google Play and you will see 2 apps, download and install the app "Sineoji Viewer Plus".

After installing the app, make sure that your iphone/Android phone is connected to your desired wifi network (2.4G) as most homes will have a dual band wifi network.

Power up the ipcamera and fire up the Sineoji app that you have downloaded. Give a few seconds for the camera to initialize as the cameras starts to rotate. Until it stands still, you will hear a ding dong alarm prompting you to setup.

1. Click on the + symbol on the app to add the camera.
2. Click on "ONE KEY".

3. Enter your wifi password of your router

4. Hit the "Start Configuration"

Within 60 seconds, your camera will be connected to your router and the ding dong alarm will goes off (successful).

Enter the default password "admin" of your camera.

Your camera has been successfully setup.

Does the Sineoji allow you to record to a network storage via LAN or wireless?

CoolRock,

No we disable that function as all of the Sineoji 49x, 59x IP Cameras supports to a maximum of 128GB micro SD Card. This will allow you to record approx 30-40 days of recording. It will start to overwrite when the capacity is full. You can play back or stream the recorded videos without removing it from the ipcam via the Sineoji Mobile App wherever you are, be it in Asia or any parts of world.

You can access your recorded video content from your notebook too. Just drag and drop your recorded files to your notebook and play it.

Hmm okay. What if...

1) the micro SD card fails or
2) you got a itchy hand helper and removes it?

Hi coolrock

Same thing applies . What happens if a helper were to turn off the power of the NAS? What happens if the helper turns off the power of ip camera ?

Every solution there is a setback . Nevertheless, before anyone tends to meddle with the ipcam, a screenshot would be captured and send across to your email.

I managed to grab 1 unit of D-Link DCS-930L yesterday at Challenger store opening @ $9.90!!! Going to use it to watch my pet. Will have a simple review after I set up. I hope it's really a good buy because normal retail price is $49.00.

Dutifully noted, will explore other solutions instead since Sineoji doesn't support it. I just feel it's a pity since the model I am looking at has wide viewing angle.

Not trying to fault anything here, it's just that the data will still be intact on the NAS shold the helper turn off the IP camera and my NAS is running under key and lock with a UPS connected to it so I feel more safe than just a microSD card attached to the camera.

Thanks anyway!

as long as the NAS is within reach in the house, the data is not going to be safe. your helper can do anything to damage it.

the most secure way is to upload the files externally.

If really scared of helpers meddle with your cameras, employ a security guard to look after your camera while your camera monitors the helper. Kidding.

For those who r worried, you will then need to have a box to lock the power supply to the camera and uses metal pipes instead of trunking to run the wires

I have been using the Panasonic ones for years and it worked like a charm. The model should be Panasonic BL-C101A. Everything from sound, motion detection, video is supported. You can even combine views of different camera without need of DVR.
