Decided upon Sineoji after reading the feedback here. Great service from Dean and very happy with the two cameras installed in my living room and kitchen :). We can finally view what's happening at home when we not around and even my baby can point at the IP camera when we speak through the audio mode.

Love the wide angle and the panning responsiveness of the cameras. N service from Dean is really great, helpful punctual and friendly and not afraid to get hands dirty to install the cameras for us. Even my hubby think it's s great deal. So glad we don't have to go all the way down to Sitex and squeeze to get such great deal.

Thanks again Dean!

Hi Jennifer

Some of you have asked us how fast/easy it is to setup our camera to see it online. Here's a video in the LINK below.

Just download the app and register an account for yourself. And setup is easy as per video.

Direct Link as follows if the video above does not load. https://youtu.be/2pyLeP4I-OQ

Brought a sineoji camera home from office since I have 2 of them and install it in my kitchen since my wife has been requesting for quite some time back.

This was taken in the night when the lights are on.

This is the night vision when the lights are completely off.

I am looking for a camera to monitor my poodle when I am at work, just a basic camera. Just a still camera will be sufficient or should I go for one that can rotate ?

Any recommendation ?

you can try D-Link or Samsung. Pan and tilt camera, many brands out there. Go to Challenger and you can browse quite a handful.

Both r fine actually. But a pan tilt allows u to search for your pet if shes not at the positiom where cam is locating.

Later i will be sharing some pic n my review on 2 cheap cameras i've recently came across and will teach you how to buy them n ship in yourself. Both cameras r below $50 and will blow your mind off!

Thanks. I saw a few brands in Challenger Changi City Point last nite.

Price is not a factor but just want to ensure the security and where do I seek help if I have a problem.

So if want to see on my computer in the office, possible ?

Hi Marix, may i know is the firmware update to fix the Zafego "IR kick in" release already?
Also, any more advise for my dark areas?

desatan,

We have done some tests on your camera that we took back from you, here is one of the screen capture we have done in complete darkness.

We will be contacting you today on your exchanged camera to find out more details, as your situation is quite rare that some areas are so dark.

OK, as promised, this is one of the cameras that will blow your mind. Price is RMB99, yes... RMB99, cheaper than xiaomi's xiaoyi IP camera. It is the full functionality of the Xiaoyi's night vision model at a modest price of RMB99.

As you can see, image quality is sharp also, won't lose to the rest of the brands. It has a view of 120 after I changed to the MARIX's wide angle lens. Yes, by doing so, I forfeit the warranty, who cares! Its so cheap that I can just throw away if it spoils.

Breakdown of cost including delivery to SG is merely SGD32 at most. So, forget about buying jacked up xiaoyi cameras from qoo10. Buy from Taobao and save yourself all the money. Just go buy yourself a wide angle or extra wide angle from MARIX and you have a very cheap wide angle solution at home.

The other IP Camera which I found is similar to the overpriced $229 camera with 1080p, overall shipped in cost is $55, which again, changed the lens and you can see up to 120~140 degree since the lens are easy to change and costs you $15 at most.

URL will follow in my next post with instructions how to self import these cameras in.

And yes, I will share too some homeplugs which are cheap as well that you can buy and throw if these are no longer working.

We're gonna use them 24/7, got Safety Mark?

Easy, if u dont trust the china's power adapter. Marix does sell the power adapters at $15 which will work on the cameras. All using same head one.

If you are talking about homeplugs, these are with CE, ROHS, FCC compliance certs. Safety mark is just another gimmick by local authorities. And yes, I've dismantled my unit and found it to be the same circuit and components as the local branding. So, definitely safety would be the least concern for me. :p

Desatan, apologies on the late feedback, can our engineers drop by your place tomorrow afternoon to upgrade the firmware and at the same time take a look at the environment? We will need you to help us reset the camera's password to the default one.

We do delivery from Mon to Sun 10 am to 9 pm. Pls indicate a note that you wish to have it deliver at 8 pm. Do take note as delivery comes with the installation, we will assist you to set it up on your phones as well as your computer.

PT492V supports only 64GB micro SD whereas the PT495V supports 128GB micro SD.

Here is a comparison chart which helps you to understand better.

Yes it works on cable moden .

Here are the links for anyone who wishes to get the cheap cameras which I had bought online, which is very stable.

This is the link for the very cheaper than xiaomi's xiaoyi camera with all the functionality of the full pledge new night vision model.

https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=9818218768&toSite=main&skuId=93942956591

The link above is a 1 year warranty, but for its price, I am ok to forfeit it by changing the lens. Mounting wise, use 3M will do, no need to drill holes, very lightweight.

This link gives you the other model which the lens is very easy to change, and furthermore, it has newer upgraded dual antenna and better resolution as compared to the other one which I wanted to recommend earlier on, this one is much better in terms of its resolution.

http://world.taobao.com/item/524294558315.htm?spm=a312a.7700714.0.0.e1wBVL#detail

Above is 2 years warranty, I have the other model which is 3 years warranty but single antenna, if you are keen, let me know and i will post.

For PSB compliance and safety, you can look for PSB adapters. I last bought one at $15 from MARIX. So, its relatively safe to use these cameras for 24x7 usage with PSB power supplies. You can even buy extension cables also if the default is not long enough.

WOW, seems that competition is heating up. I bet someone may just come out with similar or lowered price with full installation including trunking too and maybe even FREE microSD Cards!

Guys. Any recommendation if I just need 1 to set up outside my main door?

Thank you

Hi,

Outdoor wise, you have to get hdb or town council's permit to install, which should be accompanied with a police report (example, theft of shoes, etc)

Then you should see if your corridor is likely to be exposed to heavy rain or not. If yes, an outdoor model is required. If your corridor is covered that during a thunderstorm, no heavy water droplets get into your front door area, then you might survive with an indoor unit.

For indoor unit, you can consider our Zafego IP cameras. For outdoor, we have a unit of C7815WIP which is a bullet camera (waterproof).
